  1. Air intake suggestions / recommendations?

I havent had one on the dyno yet, but historically they do make a bit less tq and you really need to run them higher in the RPM range to make up for it. There is tuning magic you can do to help them out tho especially with E85. Once you start thinking outside the box, these cars start to break...
  2. Rattle starting at 2K miles

I think they just want a perfect new car. I know I do. Every car I've ever bought new needed something. A scratch buffed out, or an alignment or had some weird noise or something that needed to be fixed or added. New cars these days are mistreated from the minute they leave the factory...
  3. Rattle starting at 2K miles

One thing I will tell you tho is I wait to do it until after the first oil change or maybe around 2500 miles. I want a clean break in before I put anything like that in there. Nothing to prevent the rings from seating and wearing in completely. And for me, I break in cars very hard. Ive seen...
  4. Rattle starting at 2K miles

No people been using Ceratec for 15 years on these cars religiously. I've put it in every sports car I own since I found out about it in 2011. Thats probably 40 cars over hundreds of thousands of miles. And if you google that stuff, people are using it in all brands and types of cars now. It...
  5. Rattle starting at 2K miles

Since Gen1. This is the Phaser rattle. Louder when cold, then quiets down as oil gets up there. Funny story a few of us a couple years ago tested moving the cam angles around by manipulating the VCT drive scenarios and wouldnt you know it the noise followed the cam angle changes. Ford has...

The JLTs look like they flow the best in logs I've seen with them installed. I've seen the K&N and corsa intakes and they are about the same as stock intakes with the carbon traps out. I havent had one yet with those super expensive whipple intakes. And no you do not need a tune for these...
  7. Just Registered for Dark Horse Track Attack

Do you get access to that with any new DH purchase?
  8. Stage 2 Whipple 60 to 130 , Whipple tune.

You really need a real tune. The whipple tune is great to keep the car together for the masses. But its not going to be top tier performance out of the box. I normally turn them up pretty good when I do a whipple tune. And there is a ton left on the trans side.
  9. Has anyone for a stone stock/off the showroom floor S650 into the 11’s?

Um yeah traction limited, but out of the box they are easily 11 second cars. I did 11.1@125 in my black 25 on a tire and my E85 tune only. Stock otherwise.
  10. I gotta say - Carvana rocks.

Carvana was going to sell me a perfect 2023 S550 GT. Silver with 2200 miles. I did the deal online, went to the store to get it. Car was awesome, except the entire passenger side was HORRIBLY resprayed. Overspray on ever single moulding and the interior was clearly chain smoked in. Needless...
  11. 3 minutes - idle drops twice

Ive learned my lesson to try and present facts to you or debate with you. It ends up being a complete waste of time. Like this is turning out to be since you always need to have the last word. So have at it.
  12. 3 minutes - idle drops twice

Its pointless in a zig thread. You already know everything.
  13. 3 minutes - idle drops twice

When I see a zig thread, I zag.
  14. Quiet mode feature during remote start

It worked in my gen3 set from 10pm to 10pm basically 24 hour quiet start. It never worked in my two gen4 cars. Not sure why but never did. I messed with it here and there and gave up.
  15. Making the S650 as capable or better than an SS 1le

I tune fords, and own them for business. I own chevys by choice. And I wasn’t joking or being mean about the DH being a GT with less tq management. That’s the only difference in their factory calibrations between them.
  16. Making the S650 as capable or better than an SS 1le

Funny you should say that....LOL Maybe open a site other than mustang7g. You missed the joke as well. Dark horse is nothing more than a PP GT with less tq management. I would know, Ive tuned several hundred GTs at this point and more DHs than you have fingers and toes. You paid a premium...
  17. What breaks first

Yes, but they dont last. You will be on a second set within a year depending on how hard you drive.
  18. What breaks first

There aren’t a set of cats that will last. Even the purpose built high flow cats that kooks sells need to be clamped in so they can be replaced as needed. That’s about your only option.
  19. Making the S650 as capable or better than an SS 1le

Marketing has always been a problem for GM. Which is why the challengers sold 2:1 over both ford and GM, yet are you saying that’s a better car?! lol stupid logic is stupid. Go lick your premium GT.
