On the contrary, Robert Papini has disassembled both the GT and the DH engines and found no difference in hardware. But we can still pretend right?
Now why wouldnt Ford make any changes to the actual VCT section of the tune if they had put some magically different cams in it? Dont you think...
You keep pushing past the original discussion that you paid more for less tq management and the myth of the DH engine being different is just that, a myth. The mach1 guys of the gen3 cars are in the same boat. But dammit you got a tremec at least lol.
I’m saying ford did that for you but added a little tq management on top. The DH and GT files are virtually identical. Nothing different across the PCM or TCM accept higher tq management values on the GT on the trans side. And manual v auto for both, the manuals TB is allows to open much...
Not true. It might have different cams but we run them to 8k now both GT and DH and any differences in power is all margin of error. There isnt a difference except you paid $20k more for hype.
Not sure who keeps spreading the "not much left" line. These cars are severely limited by rich PE fueling, unreal amounts of tq management, 87 octane safe spark and a gimped trans. My trans tuning alone on an otherwise stock car will make it feel like you picked up 50hp. Forget about all the...
I ordered mine from Graveyard performance 5 weeks ago for the 2nd production batch. It should ship any day now. Was hoping to put the box under my tree, but its not shipped yet from ESS. But its been paid for and ordered. I will be building my tunes on it along with pop/flame and ghost cam...
sounds like IPC tq error. Common if the tq tables arent right for the power level. Easy tune fix. Just have to tell whipple and see if they have an updated rev for you.
Yes the only different in tuning between the GT and the DH is that the DH has less tq management than the GT.
Once both tuned, the GT is the same as the DH.
Bump. My new 25 has the same defect on the passenger side front window leading edge. Its all tucked in and jagged looking. I was able to pull it out but the edge of the rubber seal ripped and it looks horrible. Brand new 25. WTF ford. I didnt see it for a few days after purchase being on...
Safelite did that to my 23 when they did the windshield. They bottom seal was warped from sitting on itself when the windshield was stored. They had to redo the windshield with another replacement that didnt have a warped bottom seal. Second one was better but the gap was never perfect like...
lol clearly. But in all fairness you can’t be reasoned with at any level. You seem to know better no matter what anyone tells you. You were dead set on this flex tune and dammit you got it lol. Forget the 200+ s650s I’ve tuned, you know better.
Well congrats man. You win. I’m done with this...
The fast write is for the new fords and using the RTD4 with TDN or MPVI3 with laptop. As I said the first write of your custom tune over the stock tune should be a tad over 3 minutes. Any subsequent write between another same OS custom tune is like 30 seconds now.
With the RTD4 when writing from one custom tune to another it’s less than a minute now with the S650. If you do a full write of you are changing the OS, it’s about 3 minutes 30 seconds.
I for sure fail to see that especially when you’re currently getting 93 octane tune spark on what is essentially an e70 tune. That’s leaving a shitload on the table for what? Because you don’t want to spend 1 minute flashing another tune that is on the phone you carry in your pocket 24/7...
Hey we all have our thresholds as to what we are comfortable with putting out in the world, especially with remote tunes from across the country. So I dont fault him. I know Ray is a great tuner and Flex tunes are a pain in the ass, so if he can do them well then more power to you guys. I...
