You won't save anything but the upsides are:
Better/wider tires
Fully upgraded suspension
Better looks (in my opinion)
Light, wider wheels
More unique given its personalized
The brakes are good value, that leave you with a saving of: USD $3,300
The Ford Performance fully upgraded suspension should be more potent + 1inch lower.
3 flavors to pick from.
I believe many ordered a GT without the PP as I did.
OEM PP - $4995
Brakes: The Brembo brake upgrade is good value for money, but I wasn't sure of the rest. I am certain I'll never need a "drift" brake.
Wheels: 9F/9.5R wheels that seem cast and heavy (est. 30+ lbs?) Won't allow larger tires...
Ordered the GT pre. not a fan of those silver wheels.
Was going to upgrade the wheels anyway.
GT PP wheels cover up the Brembos, look heavy and like BMW ones.
GT PP wheels are 9 fronts and 9.5 rears.
Looking at RTR 19s.
Ah yes, thanks.
Looks both parts are $220 and quite simple to add, not a deal breaker.
1.5k for the lower than factory PP handling pack.
6 hours install time.
2015-2023 MUSTANG STREET HANDLING PACK
Ford Performance assembled Street Handling Pack is the perfect suspension system for the...
Ah shoot.
I think they only cost a few hundred $ and can be installed DIY though.
Didn't opt for the PP, might build it up as I progress with nicer forged wheels.
Can't stand the PP wheels.
I see the PP includes a black painted tower brace.
And it seems the ecoboost doesn't have have a tower brace.
Does the GT premium have a silver tower brace?
One thing to note is the MT82 is taller gears.
3.55 isn't all that aggressive.
The 255 40 19 tires are pretty tall.
The 275 40 19 PP are even taller, therefore lowering force.
The A10 has a much higher 1st and then tigher ratios.
The Tremec has shorter ratios, that with the 3.73 should make a...
Ok, changed the order to add the 401a.
No vin yet so it shouldn't delay delivery.
Ticked all the boxes except the PP.
Spoke to ford performance and they can add suspension parts later.
Yes, main reason would be to increase the force to the ground and up the effective torque.
Ideally, the Tremec + 3.73 would be better but then its the Dark Hor$e
Why not just get the PP?
$5000
Tries supplied are not really "performance"
Wheels not very nice, quite skinny, and heavy
"Drift" brake is a gimmick (to me)
Don't want a rear wing - prefer the clean look
Missing out on the front springs + K-brace (don't seem expensive to add)
Already got the...
