Speedo will be off by a few MPH, not the end of the world. 70mph on the speedo will be 67mph in reality. Acceleration should be more aggressive in all gear instead.

Car is lowered 0.6 inches. Braking should be better. Rotational inertia decreased in tires. Smaller sidewall will feel bumps a bit more. Fuel economy will suffer.

4.5 inches less per roation.

Drove the 3.73 Mach1 and it didn't feel snappy. Below 3500 rpm, it could be any regular car and really comes to life 4500 and up. I see folks with the S550 switching to 4.09 gears.

Swapping out the rear axle is a pain and a couple of local mechanics said they wont touch it as it will void the warranty and they don't want to be liable. I would want the warranty myself.

The dark horse on the other hand with shorter 315 30 tires and 3.73 Has an effective ratio of 3.81

The PP tires is actually larger than the stock rear tire and lowers the final ratio a bit. PP rear tire 275 40 PP effective ratio is = 3.65 compared to stock

Looking at the MT82 vs Tremec ratios, its unfortunate that the gears are taller in with MT-82. Ordered the manual non-PP GT with 3.55 gears with the Brembos. Besides the fender gap (that can be lowered and speedo) would it be a bad idea to get smaller diameter tires? Stock = 255-40 with 3.55...

Agreed, value is good. If its DH money, I'll probably go for the C8. Too bad no manual there.

Interestingly, the E39 m5 was very similar to the mustang. 5.0 v8, 6speed manual. Slightly less power, Slightly less weight. The interior was nice but not groundbreaking. The audi R8 exclusive package had a beautiful interior! At the end of the day, its a Ford. No one expects a Bentley...

The assist+ and adaptive cruise are useful, I got those together with the BnO. Called the dealer to see if changing the order would delay it at this point. Its been a couple of weeks. Having had a bunch of BMWs, including the e39 M5, I think the new ones looks hideous. That 6sp manual was one...

Perhaps we should start another thread for Mustang vs BMW interior. The question was to determine exactly what the difference is in the trim between the 400 and 401. If nothing significant, that extra can go towards something else like a set wheels, tires, etc...

I'm hoping the GT "premium" DOES have a leather wrapped, soft touch, dash and center console and don't mind if the stitching isn't color matched. Also, not a big fan of that stripped seatbelt.

Dark horse video - I'm assuming the non premium - still has the single large screen though. Interior looks pretty cheap for a 60k+ car

Does anyone know if the GT premium gets a leather wrapped dash and center console? I've already got the B&O and Assist360+. 401a on website says: "Premium trim with color accent group" - so vague. Does that mean the non 401a is hard plastic?

Ordered this too. Saw somewhere this is the least ordered color. 1.6% or something. Nardo grey would have been nice too. Got the red brembos, i think black or dark gunmetal wheels will look great. I'll probably go aftermarket for the wheels. Maybe dip is not bad to start off?
