  1. Cutting Open Intake Grille

On the GTs, you see a lot of closed off grille holes. Why not cut the entire intake mesh off? I saw some drilled holes to increase flow. Also, it should should better with a gapping duct straight to the intake. Seems to be fine for the DH.
  2. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

Given the MT82 was a 6th gear ratio of 0.622, thats very low. Meaning highway RPMs will be nice and low. Should be fine with 4.09 gears.
  3. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

From another forum: " 'll use myself as an example: At 70mph with a 3.55 rear gear set, I am turning 2202 RPM " so with 4.09 it will be 2530 rpm
  4. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

should be 15% higher than 3.55. So if its say 2500 with the 3.55, it will be 2875.

  6. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

Agreed, 3.55 to 3.73 is minimal. Thats a 5% bump. You could get close to that with slightly shorter tires. 4.09 gives you 15% extra. THats 40 to 45lbs at 2500rpm 60lbs at peak 400 rpm Old S550 procal would allow 4.09 gears. I'm guessing once the S650 procal is out, 4.09 will be offered as well.
  7. GT Active Valve Exhaust Worth Optioning?

I'm so glad you and someone like you doesn't live near me.
  8. LMR's dyno comparison of the Gen 3 vs Gen 4 Coyote, plus car weights

That's pretty good. Gen4 should have more potential as well.
  9. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

I suppose there is an increased risk of failure whit mods vs stock. I'll see what other do and how it drives with the 3.55 and slightly shorter tires. With 275/35s, ratio is 3.62
  10. C&D's 2024 Mustang GT Review + Instrument Tested Performance Results

I know what no lift shifts are. I meant C&D made a mistake as I believe the GT with the MT82 does NOT have no-lift shifting. I know the Tremec does on the DH and Mach1. I may be wrong, if the GT has it too, thats a great bonus!
  11. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

Lol. I knew about them being able to prove that the failed part was due to the mod, but I suspect Ford/dealers will be experts and doing that. I'm worries they will find a remote connection between say the rear axle and trans, engine, or any other major drivetrain component.
  12. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

Just saw your modes, nice combo. Looking at a similar setup with the FP FR track pack as well. How are you liking that? Not too harsh. Spoke to Apex and looking that their light wheels - 19x10 square with 275/35/19 or 285s PS A/S 4.
  13. C&D's 2024 Mustang GT Review + Instrument Tested Performance Results

This is a mistake right? Says no-lit shifts for the GT?
  14. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

Some gear ratios with different wheel sizes.
  15. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

Carbon driveshaft will have very little effect I would say. The only thing that would make a difference (besides rear axle, overall weight, power) would be a smaller diameter weight. Stock is 27inch, 26.5 of 26inch wheels would increase the effective torq.
  16. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

I read some folks say 4.09 is too short? Do you feel its a lot more aggressive to accelerate? Mine is the 6sp D4 with 3.55 (non-PP).
  17. Anyone received the Space Grey interior?

So it doesn't seem like the space grey is limited. Does look quite exotic compared to plain black.
  18. Ford Performance not offering the 4.09 gears for the 2024. Why?

I'm looking into 4.09 myself. Will that void the drivetrain warranty if say the gearbox fails?
