  1. Is tuning a stock car on 93 worth it?

I had that hot hatch. Damn good car. Traded mine for Ioniq 5 three years ago, which SWMBO commandeered...
  2. Is tuning a stock car on 93 worth it?

You are correct. Which is why if I went, I could simply disable Soleris to be track-ready. For tooling around country backwoods, which is my jam, the "rocket pedal" is where it's at. I've done a lot of WOT pulls while tuning lately, and the depth of the pedal is staggering, and it IS precise...
  3. Is tuning a stock car on 93 worth it?

Yes, they do. My tune is looking for throttle input, and the Soleris delivers it. If I want to tone it down out on the roads, just a simple adjustment on the app. No need to stop, refresh, and that's assuming I have enough signal to Hotspot, which often isn't the case here in Bumfuck By The River.
  4. Is tuning a stock car on 93 worth it?

I leave mine on Comfort 8 still. Plus I have finished my tune, where I tip into power sooner with more aggressive power enrichment and timing. The two together are chocolate and peanut butter; feels like a dog pulling on its leash now, but disciplined and so smooth when you let it slip.
  5. The Sound Police Are Coming For Us ...Haha.

So... yeah. Fireworks. I grew up in Buffalo, moved out to Capital District NY, but then lived for 8 years in Baton Rouge from 2008 - 2016. You're on to something - the sheer amount of personal freedom (and community) I experienced in Baton Rouge was off the charts. To wit, there's several...

Cracking the IMRC nut, and why Mapped Point logging has been so weird...
  7. Calling all S650 Roll-Your-Own Tuners using MPVI/VCM Editor...

Ok folks, MAF tuning is pretty much figured out, and I've moved on to Speed Density. To fully understand this, you need a grasp of VCT scheduling, driving modes, and the role of the IMRC, plus why you'd want to keep it. Good momentum now as I tune my own car; once done, will create a more...
  8. Abilor & Maude - Build & Maintenance Journal

The tuning journey continues, and I think I may have finally gotten an end-to-end understanding of Gen IV Coyote tuning. Here's an entry that explains the core thinking, with more detailed videos on methodology to come...
  9. S650 Tuning Info

Truly love mine. Completes the stock tune.
  10. Automatic or 6-speed - honest feedback

That, my fine little friend, is a Lucid Air, made right here in the USA. The Touring trim starts at $80,000, and can do 0 - 60 in 3.4s. If I hadn't gotten a Mustang, this would have been it. There's one gear, and it's f a s t as hell. Would annihilate 99% of the vehicles on the...
  11. Automatic or 6-speed - honest feedback

    I resemble that remark.
  12. Automatic or 6-speed - honest feedback

If it doesn't have three pedals, it had better be electric is my opinion. Been rowing my own gears for 31 years now, except in my Hyundai Ioniq 5. Now that we have the 6S 2025 Mustang GT, trading in the Ioniq 5 for a Rivian R3X is all our household needs to be complete. Except maybe a 5S...
  13. Calling all S650 Roll-Your-Own Tuners using MPVI/VCM Editor...

General update... Having talked to a few peeps over the past week, it appears that the HPTuners Beta tuning product is good, it works, but it's not fully developed. Drive_55_Not mentioned, and it's true, apparently updated maps and tables will keep dripping in releases for a while. MAF Tuning...
  14. Which tuner

I hear Wengerd and Shoemaker are geniuses. I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of a few issues. Having talked to a few peeps over the past week, it appears that the HPTuners Beta tuning product is good, it works, but it's not fully developed. MAF Tuning is still peculiar, and Speed Density...
  15. Abilor & Maude - Build & Maintenance Journal

Jeebus, I'm behind on videos. I've still got the motor mounts one brewing, but in the meantime, have been consumed with HPTuners and finally getting under the hood to tune. My wife and some friends have convinced me to start a YouTube channel to keep logging adventures, so here's a second look...
