If you do change to the DH look you will need the rear valence for the tips to clear. If this look is important to you one needs to anti up 💵💵💵 to do it right. Pay to play.
What is your bulid date? Early job one cars sat when the line had issues. There where many compaints with battery problems that got replaced. These AGM batteries are suppose to charge fairly quick. Maybe 4 mile trip isn't quick enough.
Mirror pockets will help when putting it on and off. I have used covers for years from very expensive to low priced. Familiarize yourself with proper techniques on removal or application. If you just want it to keep dust off this one will work fine. If there is any chance of the car getting...
Find a good independent installer with many years experience. Your camera will need recalibration. Not a big deal. Most independent installers contract that out as the equipment cost 6k and results sent to a database. Calibration requires a short drive and only takes five minutes on a...
I think some dealers don't want to do this fix. Just like when you bring your car in for warranty work they tell you it will be weeks to get it done when its something you know not complicated.
I had a 1996 Towncar with aluminum hood. Zero paint or corrosion issues. Ford started having problems when process was changed. Metal contamination from dissimilar materials caused galvanic corrosion in seams. When the F150 went aluminum Ford dealers had to have a seperate area for collision...
I used 10QTS changing mine with oil cooler the first oil change and showed just at top hole on the stick. After picking my car from the dealer brand new and getting home(about 6 miles) the stick was right at the bottom hole. I added 1/2QT and brought it up to the middle between the holes.
My...
Make sure you know the temperature range the tender will be operating in. Some wont work if it is to hot or cold. 2 amp is plenty for winter storage. 5 or 10 amp if you want a quicker charge. I use the Noco 2 amp on one car that gets driven once a month and a 5 amp that gets drven on...
I pulled the wiper cowl and inspected all the seams which looked OK. I then pulled the right kick panel and found zero evidence of water intrusion. Lifted the carrpet also. I don't drive in rain but have done hand washes with plenty of water doing flow rinses.
Next I performed the flow test...
There were several problems with batteries in early production startup. There were thousands of cars that sat for months and weaker batteries showed up early. You could just have a battery that just didn't make it past warranty. If you drive very little a battery tender might help prolong...
I am going to do my own leak test. Pull the kick panel and flood the cowl area when I hand wash it. Inspect the area for water intrusion. After seeing the goop repair it seems only needed if you have water. Are dealers going to do the goop repair if needed? Im sure that's why corporate...
Guess your not up to speed on the recall. How about the cars that are already sold. Chips not in paint but on winshields that are already on cars in service. You go lifting a corner on a windshield with any chips things might not have a good outcome. Hope this explains things better.
If they break it lots of luck finding a good one to install. My guy went through more than a half dozen to find one worth install.
I don't want just anyone replacing my windshield. I am sure its a crap shoot on not having it break lifting one corner if you have any stone chips.
