I just want to point out that the Japanese Market Nissan Skyline is referred to as
Godzilla.
Ford own the US automotive trade marks for Skyline(part of why Nissan renamed it to just GT-R when it went global with the R35) and Godzilla.
Ford can make a Skyline with a Godzilla.......
As the Bullitt was just a more powerful GT I'd say a Dark Horse Engine with the Performance Package suspension and Tremec. This could potentially allow it to be sold along side the DH. If there is no DH at the time then I say just use the DH setup but no track coolers and a bit softer spring...
Its usually more due to the durability and cost of repairing it. Thats why its common to eliminate on the R32-34 GT-R as well, but its not that it doesn't help in actual racing, its just about how much it adds more complication than its worth unless you're doing hard core racing.
Front facing camera is what i miss most on my Mustang vs other cars. Makes parallel parking SO much easier. Also handy with how far out our bottom lips are on Performance Package cars as they are out past the hood
Even then, with it already over 760hp how much more can they add before its just pointless other than bragging rights and burn outs? It already has issue putting the power down.
Maybe All wheel steering? or focus purely on handling and weight loss to make better use of the power it has now.
Is not one of the Race prepped Dark Horses supposed to be using a 5.4 that's homogenized? So Ford would need to use a N/A 5.4 in some production car. Perhaps a GT350 or a BOSS?
I know an old lady that always drive Honda coupes, then when Honda killed the Civic coupe with the 11th gen she went and got a 2.3 EcoBoost. She refuses to NOT be the old lady in a sporty car.
Sadly the most appealing enthusiast machines are coming from Japan now.
Nissan Z
Supra GR(Japanese/German hybrid)
Civic Type-R
GR Corolla
GR86/BRZ
Miata
Mazda is rumored to be working on a new i6 for a Coupe.
America at this point ONLY has Mustang. No US maker even has anything "fun" for the...
The DH is also supposed to be a number "limited" car, they mentioned that in the announcement. Just like the Mach1/Bullitt they wont "limit" that number though. They will just sell them till the production period ends which historically is just 2 years. the Mach1 is the oddball getting a 3yr run.
I feel like for 90% a base/near base GT+A10+active exhaust will be the sweet spot. Some will swap the A10 for a manual but thats probably going to be the biggest taker. Really unless you plan to do some tracking there isn't reason to invest in the DH, and if you want manual the EB is off the table.
If they do like Honda, they will let you save it as "off" in a custom mode, so you just have to switch to your My Mode and it will turn off while all your other settings change to how you like.
8 years ago they at least sold the Focus/Fiesta ST, the RS was coming soon, the Fusion Sport existed. Ford had other interesting vehicles. I don't care about off-roading so I couldn't give 2 shits about the Raptors. I've never seen an SUV I think looks good let alone found fun to drive and are...
