OK OK I guess it was a bad idea. Some racers use Perma tack glue to prevent tires from spinning on the rim, however I heard it can be a bitch to ever take those tires off.
And as Q states shorter profile tire will probably not wrinkle up and spend the first place

I want to use my factory midnight pony black8.5 inch wide cast aluminum wheels for slicks. Has anybody tried putting ram screws to keep the tires from slipping on the bead? Do you think itāll be safe to do this to those wheels?

Well, Iām waiting for two new parts to filter down to us from the SC upgraded catalytic converters and the magnesium strut to brace that will fit the Whipplesupercharger
