Well, I know the G2‘s have a higher tread wear rating than the 05’s. I believe that is what makes the 01’s a little stickier. I’ll see how these things work overall when I wear them down then I’ll make my decision once I buy my big tire down on the road.

Did u run 275 on 8.5 rim? I am going to try Nitto nt 05 Softest tire I could find in the size for the rim just so I can afford axles and bigger wheels assembly.

Going with Nitto nt05. Only soft tire I could find in 255/40/19 for 8.5 inch rim. Just to make it a little safer on the street. I can afford bigger where wheels and axles.

I thought about the R2‘s. They were for drag racing, but they didn’t have the stock size that would 8 1/5 inch rim so I had to go to the NT101.

For drag and street driving with my Whipple, I ordered some Nitto nt05’s, should I have went with nt555RII’s? They didn’t come in my stock size. Thr NT’s are for road racing how well do they work for drag racing? Stock size is 8.5x19.

I don’t see a reasonable increase horsepower it’s seal against the hood. The gearbox is already sealed stock.

I recovered and didn’t hit nothing. It didn’t wheel hop, though it just lost traction it went to the left big time...

I have with a Whipple stage one stock tire stock everything else. Best time I could do was 11.64@130. No, this was at a drag strip no draggy so the times were exact Famoso dragstrip Friday night.
