7,250 RPM? How often are people at 7,000+ RPM? That's always been my beef with the 5.0. The TOP end power is great, but from 1,000 RPM to 4,000 RPM where people normally drive it's nothing special. In fact, at those engine speeds I can't even tell it's different from the old 4.6 3V, or a...
Drive it like an old man going to the grocery store and it's picture perfect.
Drive it like a Mustang GT and the 2 to 3 shift grinds or gets locked completely out, the 4 to 5 shift gets locked completely out, and then the clutch pedal stays on the floor until I pump it several times. It does...
Exactly. I still (unfortunately) have a 2013 MT82 and it kills the fun in this car every time I drive it. There is no amount of money you could discount a Mustang by that would convince me to buy another MT82.
Funny you mention that. When I bought my current GT Premium with "Shaker" audio, no joke I honestly thought it was broken. I thought there was something wrong with it. It sounds so horrible that I didn't believe there was any way this could be normal. The last time I had audio this poor was...
Thanks, looks like Premium does add some things I love. Heated steering wheel, power seat, auto climate control, and upgraded audio system. I have gotten used to those things on my pickup truck and I would want those in a new car these days.
Is there a good chart that shows what GT Premium adds over GT? In the past the Premium didn’t really add much. I’m trying to decide if it’s worth several thousand dollars to go Premium over a base GT with the options I want.
I don’t guess I understand the gas guzzler tax. My current 5.0 Mustang gets 22 MPG EASILY on a 40% city/60% highway commuting week. That’s better than a LOT of vehicles in the U.S. which do not get hit with a tax. I don’t understand taxing a vehicle that gets over 20 MPG when you’ve got full...
Yeah that's my problem with it mainly. It looks like an afterthought. It doesn't flow into the dash at all. Sticks out like a sore thumb. I haven't sat in a S650 but from the pics I've seen I believe the way the center screen is positioned may even interfere with visibility.
There's no...
Well that's true. My speedo is WAY off in factory form. I guess with the digital screen you can make it fast and perhaps calibration can be built in as a feature. That would be neat.
I do think the '23 interior looks WAY better, but I can't decide if that's enough of an issue to keep me from...
I think this is one of my top colors on the '24. But I just can't get over how much this car looks like the Camaro. The side profile is almost identical, particularly through the rear quarters. I guess after this year we WILL still be able to buy a Camaro! :)
Seriously though, this Rapid...
How do you guys feel about that? I'm seeing other automakers doing the same thing (new Chevy Colorado is a great example). They're obviously doing this to save costs. Instead of making lots of hard parts to assemble analog clusters, they can simply toss in some Chinese-made screens and then...
How exactly? What are you to do when:
- GM says nothing about this on the window sticker
- Salesmen are clueless
- At his age you don't exactly hang out on the internet
Or are you referring to the 10 speed? Everyone does know that the 10 speed is the only way to go in a new car from Ford or GM.
A year or two ago my father bought a new 1LE. I think it's got 1,500 miles or something on it now. He rarely ever drives it. The seating position is terrible. The seats are very uncomfortable. It's hard to crawl out of even for a healthy guy like myself. It's fairly quick but I wouldn't...
I have a 2013 GT Premium with 98k on the clock. VERY well maintained when I bought it not long ago, and 99% stock which is why I brought it home. I love the car, but it needs upgrade work on the MT82 trans, a clutch to match the replacement trans, and a MGW shifter just to be fun on the...
How does a car that weighs 3,900 lbs. and makes maybe 330 RWHP run a 12.1 in the quarter-mile? I don't believe it.
The 2013 Mustang GT is 3,600 lbs., makes 380 to the wheels, and runs 12.8 in the quarter. C/D is misleading us somewhere.
