Intake installed,

Took about 2 hours to remove and install.
The only advise I would give is to follow the instructions provided. The only thing I did different was put the rubber mount that goes on the mount post on "after the box is in place," you need every mm to install it and removing that rubber mount makes all the difference. It's easy to put on the rubber mount after the box is in place.
This only applies to the passenger side.

Looks good.

Taking it out for a test drive I notice:
It brings out the exhaust sound in a good way, enhances it. I would describe it as a "crisper sound" if that makes sense. You can definitely hear more exhaust Pop, and more often, I would think that has to do with more air flow.
Speaking of air flow, you can definitely feel the difference in throttle response. The car accelerates sooner and I feel the additional torque. The rear tires broke traction sooner, there is definitely a performance difference.

For me the installation of this intake was worth every penny. It's not cheap and maybe not the best "bang for your buck" but that's not what I was going for.
A supercharger is always going to be the best upgrade if you are looking for the most performance out of this engine, but I want a Naturally aspirated engine that gives me the low-end torque I need for cornering and still have traction.

Did I mention it looks good?

I have my suspension setup where I want it, the intake with my exhaust was the next step, tuning will be my next modification.

Great looking installation for sure! What tune are you looking to do? I have done suspension and exhaust on my 2024 and am considering this same CAI and a tune with it that actually makes a difference would be good package! Thanks.

Ordered the AWE CAI yesterday. Looking forward to getting it and installing it. I also ordered a Mishimoto aluminum coolant expansion tank. Not a big fan of the plastic tank.

The intake looks even more impressive installed; those are very large filters.

Send me a picture of the tank installed, I've been looking into a coolant tank as well.

Thanks

Palm Beach Dyno is working on a tune for my car.
I've started the process of uploading the logs they have requested.

Following along for personal reasons, I would love to see where you take this build. :fistbump:

I'll post updates as I go, got my first file to flash today. I'll flash it this weekend and share my thoughts.
I'm sure it will take a few files to get the right tune for my car.

Update:

My tune is still not complete but it's getting close. I waited to write an update because I wanted to get a few runs under my belt with the new tune, not after the first drive because that can sometimes be misleading, I have made a few hard runs, and this is "my opinion".

I can tell you that the tune combined with the exhaust and intake does add power. I say that because I've had my car almost two years and I drive it pretty hard, I had learned at what RPM and Speed I needed to shift for optimal performance and when my tires would lose traction.
All that has changed and for the better.

Throttle response has improved

The intake and exhaust have gotten a little loader, which I believe is due to the increase intake air flow. This intake has "large" filters, that has to increase the air entering and exiting the engine.

The car pulls harder and longer in every gear before I get to the red line which is now at a higher RPM that when it came from the factory, but I am comparing from 1,000-7,000.

I also lose traction sooner and have to back off the throttle earlier than in the past.
It almost feels like my tires are worn down, they have about 500 miles on them and they looked good, but I decided to rotate them anyways since the fronts have never been on the back.
Made no difference, same traction issues.

The car feels lighter in a weird way, I know it's not but with the quicker acceleration it gives that impression.

I don't know how much power or torque difference this combination makes but it's a real improvement.

I'll probably get it on a dyno after all is set and done.

I happy with the modifications I have done so far, power and handling. It's feels and drives a little more like a race car than a streetcar and I like that.

I have more performance modification I want to try to complement these changes once I get the tune complete and get familiar with the cars limits again.

So @Christian/AWE: Where is the Whipple intake??

I would say I kid, but really. I'm not. That is a great looking intake system, I'm sure you guys could put something together to improve upon Whipple system.

We do not have anything in the works at this time, but we do have a product request form. I recommend getting the whipple-equipped crowd together and submitting your requests independently here: https://runawe.com/awe-product-request

Had my AWE S-Flo intake and Mishimoto expansion tank installed at my Ford dealership today. I absolutely love the looks of the carbon fiber. Well designed and worth every penny in my opinion. Seat of the pants performance seems a little better.

Unfortunately, there's a flaw in the carbon fiber on the passenger side airbox. It looks almost white in color and is in the carbon fiber. I'm not very tech savvy, so I can't post a picture. I'll reach out to them tomorrow to see what they say.
