Looks like I hit the lottery jackpot on this one also on my 2025 GT built March 2025.

I just had two completed on my 2024, water intrusion and a software update. 1900 miles on my car, 100 of them going back and forth for recalls!
LOL!

here's some further details on the recall. affects 147,977 vehicles

In some of the affected vehicles, added heat-shrink caused an interference fit between the ground eyelets and sheet metal leading to distortion of the eyelets. Distorted engine wire harness grounds may break under normal vehicle vibration. A loss of ground G1D145 results in loss of motive power. A loss of ground G1D141 results in an inoperable right front headlamp, horn, windshield washer fluid pump, and air conditioning. A loss of ground G1D120 results in an inoperable left front headlamp. A loss of ground G1D143 causes an inoperable engine cooling fan, which may be accompanied by an illuminated check engine light and an audible chime.

i tried to find where these grounds are on the wiring diagrams, but it seems Ford has a different naming scheme for what's listed in the recall details vs what is numbered in the wiring diagrams

Wait for it… A REMEDY IS NOT YET AVAILABLE.
No S———!
Houston, we have a problem! Okay Apollo 13, stay in orbit we’ll contact you when we’re ready.
A LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER WHILE DRIVING INCREASES THE RISK OF A CRASH.
I mean that just gives a bucket load of confidence there Ford!
Quality job… they need to learn to count to four. Geeeez

about a month ago I did a small pull , WOT 0-60 and the car went into a limp mode. I made a post about it .... I'm wondering if it could be related to that. Dealer could not find anything.
Sometimes I also have issues with the USB phone cable , like static noise. It happened with two different cables.
One time also I washed the car and when I started it I got various error messages.

As long as brakes can still operate without engine power we are good. Just make sure you have strong legs lol

Got it on my '26 GT. Ever since I bought the car it makes weird static hissing when the car/radio are fully off and I open a door. I definitely suspect something wrong electronically but honestly not worth tearing apart the car to find a bad ground somewhere. This recall makes me think it's related.

I'm 4 for 4 for recalls on every single S650 I've purchased new so far:

'24 Eco: IPC screen blackout recall
and SSM 52444 defective axle
'25 GT: BCM water intrusion recall
and TSB 20-2253 transmission output flange missing lubrication
'25 Eco: windshield washer recall
and windshield washer lines disconnected from the factory, I posted pics here
'26 GT: ground wire recall
and all kinds of rattles/squeaks/chirps/creaking sounds from every quadrant of the car

Ford, please just build a car right from the factory.

We purchased a Bronco Sport Badlands Sasquatch about a year ago for my wife. Two months later she received a recall without a solution or part timeline. One year later no solution. She loves her vehicle, I really like my Mustang. Doesn’t look good for a blue oval future purchase.

Crazy story, I was in a Chrysler 200 when my 2017 Laramie was in at the dealer for the condensation in the headlight (which is normal pppft). I was heading home on a 70mph highway. As we are heading in to a left hand curve in the road (at 70mph) I had a logging truck on my right and the car lost all power. Dash out and all. It was All I could do to hit the brakes and turn the steering wheel as to not go under the truck! SCARY AF!! Luckily the power came back on and I steered away. Also luckily I did not over steer and run into the guard rail (wire).

So a loss of power can be super deadly!

Per Copilot...

Ford Motor Company has had the most vehicle recalls over the past five years.
From 2015 to 2024, Ford issued 458 recalls, making it the second-highest overall in that decade, just behind Forest River, Inc., which primarily produces RVs and specialty vehicles, with 505 recalls

For anyone that has owned a RV or Travel Trailer the above statement is dismal!

I was a ford engine tech for 32 years,
When U retired, I had to sleep at night, so I bought a 24 tacoma.
at 10k needed a transmission & TQ, they so it....
I pick it up, grease everywhere, get it home & new trans is leaking.
Go back in, they repair the leak, they completely drop the ball on the detail they promised me.
Take it back in cuz they didnt actually fix the leak, extension housing is still leaking cuz a bolt was drilled to far & sitting in trans fluid & its leaking past the threads.
take it back in for a second replacement trans & the detail they promised.
Its in the shop now.

Toyota techs are all bumper to bumper so theyre good at nothing.....

I'll gladly goo back to ford after this one, & thats the plan!
