New GT suddenly would not respond to throttle above 20 mph

I had the speed limiter set on even lower speed. You can set the speed limiter manually on a specific speed. I think mine was on 15mph.

Mmm. But the setting was on "Warn only", so even if I had accidentally set it to a low speed, it should not have stopped throttle response - do I have that right?

I think there have been a rash of faulty gas pedal assemblies. I had two DH owners I worked with have this as a problem and the dealer replaced the gas pedal.

You pressed the speed limiter button on the left side of your steering wheel. It limits your speed to a specific speed.

True. Except I checked and the option was set to "Warning only", so even if I had accidentally set it to 35 km/h AND accidentally pressed the button, it still should not have stopped the throttle from doing anything - right? I await what Ford says...!

You are talking about a different setting. (Speed warning).

Yup, I know that button - and avoid it like the plague, haha!

The dealer called - they did find a "low voltage" alarm, which is weird because it's a new car with 1,000 km on it, and I've been driving distances with it, and it wasn't't left outside with lights on - nothing like that. So they're keeping it overnight for more testing.

Ah but the manual says that even if I did set and active the speed listed, you can exceed the limit if needed. And I was unable to exceed the limit: even pushing down totally on the gas pedal, speed remained limited to just over 30 km/h.

Dealer is keeping it overnight to do more testing and test runs, so we'll see tomorrow. They did see a low voltage warning, so indeed there may be something going on.

And yesh, manual says this, and believe me, I certainly "pressed firmly on the accelarator"!!
