S650 Non Performance Pack Oil Cooler / PP Radiator / Brake Ducts / Inner Fender Liner Install

Recently added the OEM oil cooler, PP radiator, front brake ducts, and PP fender liners to my non-performance pack S650. Not seeing any change in my oil temps. Still running 210-225 on the highway. Haven’t had it back on the track since the install. Thermal coupler installed at the cooler indicates oil temps are approximately 20-30 cooler than what is displayed on the dash. Recently informed oil temps are an “inferred” value due to not having an actual oil temp sensor. None of the S650 including the DH are equipped with an oil temp sensor. FORScan shows data in the PCM module where you can indicate through a single digit code the car is with or without an oil cooler. Curious as to what others are seeing after doing to same OEM oil cooler upgrade.

Since the oil temp is calculated by the computer algorithm, you need to have the car tuned so it will calculate the oil temp with the PP oil cooler added.

The radiator and oil cooler are working, but the car's computer has not been told that you installed them.

Seeing it now. I updated my PCM for both the PP/DH radiator and oil cooler addition. Essentially my PCM reflects the same tables as PP/DH when it comes to cooling both the coolant and oil. I've also added the rear differential cooler as well and added it through Forscan to my dash display. I have experienced no overheating issues. Most recently participated in a track day at the FIRM here in North Florida in early July. Literally ran numerous 30-40 sessions all day with no issues. Highest oil temps i saw both actual and inferred were 245-250. Highest coolant temps were 215-220.

I purchased the HP Tuner MPVI4 along with downloading the VCM Suite and purchased the credits to make the PCM changes and updates. There are several tables that need to be updated to reflect a PP/DH cooling strategy. As a backstop for temp confirmation, I installed an external oil temp sensor. Without going into a long explanation, I can confirm the inferred temps are within statistical error of the temps registered by the sensor.
