Greetings all!

I just wanted to make a quick post here to share my 2024 Dark horse i just purchased two days ago! Im not new to the mustang world. ive had two fox bodys, a 94 GT, 07 GT, 11 GT, 19 GT and now the 24 dark horse.

The dark horse is a 600A - 6 speed, no handling or appearance package and recaros in Atlas blue with only 2,000 miles! Exactly what i wanted since its going to be driven.

Coming from a 2019 GT Performance pack 10 speed (which i loved!) this car is a whole different animal. I made a post about it here asking for feedback on the differences, but nothing could prepare me. The 19 was outstanding, but this is phenomenal!

The biggest differences ive noticed right off the bat, is the handling. The 19 didnt have magnaride and this one does -I have no idea what they did to the chassis, but this dark horse feels like a steel beam! Absolutely ridgid with no body flex or lean..

The transmission is a dream. I gladly give the 10R80 its due, and i drove it for 6 years, but there is just something about shifting your own gears, and what a dream this tremec is.. its comfortable when cruising, and has the perfect feedback when pushing it. Really love the rev matching too. I used to always do this myself, but the computer makes it so easy now!

The exterior and interior are a huge step up to me compared to the S550. When the 650s first arrived, like everyone else, i didnt care for the screens. But once you sit behind it - they are so unobtrusive and once you get used to them - its impossible to want to go back. The technology is wonderful. The exterior is menancing and i cant stop looking at it now.

The engine is just - perfect - smooth, powerful, the low end torque seems so much more improved over the Gen 3, the top end is bestial as always, and the stock exhaust is almost perfect. Im still debating going with an H pipe resonator delete, but i dont want it to ruin the sound too much (my 19 had it and i loved it, but this seems so much louder stock vs. stock)

The only few things ive noticed...

  1. The hood has a bit of play when you push down on it when its closed - ive noticed at highway speeds the hood flutters a bit. Is there an adjustment somewhere i can make to fix this? common problem?
  2. The seatbelt constantly squeaks against the recaros. I tried fitting it through the loop that is supposed to hold it, but it doesnt seem to stay - or that its even designed for it? common? is there a fix?
  3. There is a slight rattle/buzz on the driver's window over rougher roads.. if i barely push on the window it goes away.. any easy fix for that?
  4. I noticed the wireless charger isnt very good and also heard they took them away after 24? seems to heat the phone up a lot and not really charge it. any fix for that?
  5. Anything else special to look for? Ive heard the 24's had issues with paint and body panel fitment, but i havent seen a single problem so far when i detailed it. however.
Anyway.. here she is! Im so proud of how outstanding it is. They really did an outstanding with these newer cars!

There are rubber stoppers attached the the underside of the hood. They push against the body to adjust for hood flutter. Turn them clockwise and/or counterclockwise to adjust the hood.

The seatbelt on the recaros does the same thing on mine. I just ignore it. The little seatbelt holder is a joke and does not work as intended.

Sometimes centering the phone in the middle, as best as possible, will charge up decently fast. After a while, I just remove the phone to abate the heat. I also have an otter box case on my phone which seems to reduce the heat.

Otherwise enjoy!

Very nice! Beautiful colour! What @Sf22giants said is correct about your questions. Known charging pads work well with Ford :p I went aftermarket in my BRaptor. I just lay the phone there in the Darkhorse, plus my cover is too large for it to charge correctly anyway.

Having a manual is the reason to have it!
So now, let the mods.......BEGIN!!!

The only planned mods for the moment is a resonator h-pipe delete, oil catch can, and some window tint. I do have some SVE SP2 wheels and tires from my 19GT that i'd like to put on, but ive heard the tpms sensors operate on a different frequency - so ill wait on that for a bit. Really liking the stock dark horse wheels/tires!

Outstanding.

I run the Corsa double H resonated 3-inch pipe on my vehicle, and it sounds glorious. No drone in the vehicle, has a nice deep rumble. I run this with my Kook headers. You can pick it up from Lethal; they call it their Lethal Double H Resonated delete pipe, but again, it is made by Corsa.

I saw that one. It's pricey, but nice. I had the Steeda H on my '19 and it did the trick and was well made. I have noticed the dark horse seems much louder stock than the 18-23 with active exhaust.. but it still sounds a bit restricted.

Catch can is a good thing IMO and the h-pipe, whatever the brand/type makes the car sound better for sure and the AVE keeps it quiet when that’s how you want it.
Only thing I HAD to have is the Soler throttle controller. My car is 8511 so probably a little earlier than your 9194, but it is a dog off idle and at low throttle position without that controller. My 2025 GT doesn’t have that as an issue at all — completely different/normal when pulling out at low throttle. Don’t know why Ford would tune them so differently.
Curious though, what month the was your DH manufactured? Printed on the door jam plate. Mine is September. Wonder is it October, Nov, later?

I think mine was October. Ill have to double check that and post back here.

Its funny you mention that... i noticed that starting off in 1st it seems to take a lot more throttle than i expected while letting out the clutch. Especially up hill.

There have been a few times where it kinda fell on its face letting the clutch out too fast. I just figured it was me getting used to the car. Also there is quite a big difference in throttle response between normal and sport... so much that i almost always drive it in sport. Good info for sure. Ive only put a few hundred miles on it so far, so im still learning a lot.
