Hello all,
I've had my '25 GT convertible for a little over a month now, and I'm making mental (and written) notes about issues - all small stuff, but I figure this is the place to get info about them.

Does anyone else have this issue: my rearview mirror won't adjust up high enough to give me a proper view. I am tall (6'2), but I have the seat set down as far as it will go, and I have about 2 inches of space between the top of my head and the convertible top headliner, so it's not like my face is up in the wind or anything... But, I adjust the rearview mirror to what seems like its upper limit, and I'm still getting 2/3 of the view staring at my back seat, with only a sliver of rear decklid and what's behind me (without bending down). Is this a common problem, and/or is there a fix for it?

Thanks in advance.
I have a 24 Dark Horse and with the windows tinted I find I don't use my rear view mirror I just use my side mirrors. So thats my work around.

I am 6-4.5. I also use my side mirrors. In my 24 DH, I had to move the mirror down, articulate the stem, and move it up over the protrusion, then adjust it at the mirror so I could see. No issues now.

It is nothing to do with the driver height - purely down to mirror adjustment at both ends of the support
Well that and the seat adjustment. If you like to sit more upright the mirror can only tilt up so far. Some people like to drive in really weird positions. I remember a guy on the 6G forum complaining about the head rests and having to turn them backwards to drive comfortably. Then he posted a picture and he had his seat back at practically 90⁰s. 🤦🏻

You do not need to start dremeling your car interior!

The articulation near the screen will NOT break the screen, but may detach. There are things called lubricants to free up joints.

This is NOT a pro tip - it is a horrible bodge!
The pro tip is that the windshield may break. Don't tell me that it won't; mine did. I understand there are things called lubricants to free up joints. My "pro tip" (which was a joke; if you've never heard that before) was to not try to force that joint to articulate.
If it's not the driver height then I don't know what is the issue since I have no issue at all.
Just because you have no issue doesn't mean no one else does. Every person's body is different - torsos and legs and necks are different lengths for the same size height. Everyone has their seat height, depth, and seatback angle different. Some people have spine, or neck, or back, or hip issues that cause them to sit in the seat differently.

I never talked about others. I just said I have no issues. This is a forum to share experiences and I shared mine.

You do know the mirror is not directly attached to the windscreen do you?

It has nothing to do with body shape or seat position - the mirror adjustment can cover all positions if you adjust both ends.

Some joke when a 'pro-tip' involves a dremel!

I think even then there would be no problem as there is huge articulation at the screen end before you adjust at the mirror end.

Same thing happened to me last year. And I was just trying to tilt up the mirror a wee bit while I was driving. No excessive force at all. I ended up holding the mirror, mount and a nice chunk of glass .
Independent glass shop told me he has seen a couple of cars with same problem.
Windshield replaced and all has been fine.
Be careful!

6'5" here. The issue is the protrusion on the console that the mirror is attached to. The left trick works. Move it to the left, up and around this protrusion and then back right "on top of it" to center it.

I have the same dash cam, interesting choice of placement. I have my radar detector hanging from the rear view mirror, hows the dash cam held up being located on the plastic trim instead of the windshield?

Neither the supplied adhesive, the replacement viofo brand adhesive from Amazon, nor moulding adhesive hold up in high heat on the plastic trim. I had success using industrial strength velcro. However, since I installed an aftermarket sub, the high vibes cause the cam to vibrate. Not the worst but not optimal. If you don't have an aftermarket sub, this route should be fine. I will eventually relocate it to the windshield.

Maybe there's a difference in the Euro spec because I would certianly not say there is huge articulation. There's definitely a limit in how far it will tilt up before hitting the back of the rain sensor housing.

It actually needs to tilt down at the screen end which then allows the mirror end to tilt up

The mirror attachment has two articulation points at either end of a rod. If the screen end is angled up too much the mirror cannot be angled up enough for tall people to see out of the rear window because the mirror hits the plastic housing above it. A lot of people don't seem to realise that if you angle the screen end articulation downwards it enables you to angle the mirror up more to improve visibility. So for taller people the rod wants to be angled down to allow the mirror to be angled up more. The mirror doesn't become any lower just the angle is changed
