Thank you!

Well, it ended up being quite a bit more expensive than I had hoped.

The fiberglass hood is around $1250 right now, plus a couple hundred for shipping unless you're close and can pick it up.

The first quote I got for paint was $4,300; which I thought was rather excessive. 2nd quote was $1700 sight unseen. By the time it left the body shop, the final bill was about $2,800.
Considerably more than I was originally quoted by this shop, but still a lot better than the first.

The decals came from eBay for about $120.
They're Oracle 651 vinyl and I had the body shop install and clear coat over them so there shouldn't be any chance of them peeling or having a letter blown off by a pressure washer or something.

The hood did come with hood pins, but I wasn't sure if they were actual AeroCatch latches or not so I spent another $100 making sure that they were, and got the version with the steel strike pins rather than using the aluminum ones that came with the hood.

By the time it was all said and done, I'm probably into the hood for about $4500.

Looks awesome!
I'm thinking about it. THINKING ABOUT IT!!! I've still gotta get my new springs installed and an expensive set of 20"s and tires first...

Then we will see...

Right now this is AI making my dream happen LOL

10 days later, I have my car back from getting paint correction, full PPF coverage and ceramic coating. Already dusty, but taking it to its first C&C tomorrow morning. Car turned out amazingly. There are no visible seems anywhere on the car that I could find other than the side mirrors which I expected. Honestly the matte PPF on the screen is probably my favorite part lol. What a difference.

**edit: had to go out and get a few better images once the sun starting going down.**

Homelink visor from the parts farm, but for 2026 they've changed the shape of the trim piece on the left support, so it's not a direct swap. And the retaining clip fell down the A-pillar somewhere... if it decides to rattle I'll need to figure out how to dismantle more.

#firstworldproblems I fully admit but man I am disproportionately annoyed at this cost savings feature of leaving out the buttons for 2026, so the clip tumbling down behind the trim felt like the final insult to injury.

Tomorrow I'll fix the other beancounting omission in the form of a wireless phone charger. Hopefully that one goes smoother.

I got one of those for $10. Wish I could have had an integrated button, like I have on my Volvo but it will do. I forgot it's there.

Having had the integrated buttons on my '19 GT the omission was nearly a dealbreaker. If only the CT4 Blackwing came with 8 cylinders, or the CT5 with less than a 100k price tag.

Well honestly, I do not have much more to mod....maybe some custom mats? Been looking at perhaps some CF mirror caps.....Have to see how they would look though. No rush.

Though my 2019 has the built-in sunvisor buttons, but I prefer to use these. Actually I double-faced taped mine to the top of my windshield so it is hidden (I don't like my hand bumping it when adjusting the visor, and I don't like to advertise that I have a remote that can be easily stolen should I forget to lock my car). I purchased 3-button remotes off Amazon so I can interface with multiple garage doors, including my son's house here, and his vacation house in TN. The price difference was negligible between single button and 3 button.

Can you send a picture of how yours is taped? I'm curious.

We're only dealing with 1 garage door in my (extended) family so this big button works :)

I keep 3M automotive double faced tape on hand...I use it a LOT for projects. Either 3M 5952 or 5925 will work. As great as adhesion is, I can remove it to replace batteries when needed. But, I seldom have to replace the battery.

As you can see, it is hidden from potential thieves who normally would see an opener clipped to the inside sunvisor.
