@2026FX ..... Awesome looking Mustang. BTW......I purchased a wash product from the detailer that came from the manufacturer of my ceramic coating that the manufacturer guarantees will protect their coating whereas other wash products can strip it. The cost for a large bottle (you only use a bit at at a time) was very reasonable and I figured getting the wash product from the guys who engineered the ceramic coating seemed like a good idea.

I am sure he will have some kind of touch up spray. I did buy specific car wash that was well rated for ceramic coated cars. I bought this https://www.amazon.com/CarPro-Reset...77998678&sprefix=Car+pro+reset,aps,140&sr=8-4

@2026FX ..... the Blask RX 750 is a super ceramic coating. It has advanced nano technology. Only a pro should try to use it as you have to time the flash over. The special price could also reflect specials that are offered to professional dealers to promote products, even well known ones. I have heard Feynlab does this and I bet Blask does too. As well, maybe a little known fact......the top tier ceramic coatings allow technicians to do a larger area at a time and remain "open" a bit longer allowing them to work the frinish to their liking. This feature also allows them to complete a job considerably faster which allows them to offer a better price. Cheaper ceramics area pita and can really cause technicians trouble - but many people won't pay for the top tier products so the techs are stuck.....you don't really save much using cheaper product in this case. That is probaby why you are getting a top tier product for a very reasonabe price. Can't wait to see the finished product I bet you will be shocked.

No offense Matt but "advanced nano technology" is the stuff Iron Man uses. 🤣

Nano coating on the other hand refers to the micro coating used in many ceramics. Which is basically just marking speak for what most ceramic coating does when applied. So unless your turning into a vendor rep, let's not get to carried away with fancy jargon.

Im probably one of the few here who has actually applied the stuff. Under the supervision of a pro of course. Its a really cool process and the chemistry involved is quite interesting.

@AZ_Ryan .....I too have applied a product, the Feynlab "self-healing" which a friend balked at the idea. The stuff does work as under heat it does micro flow. Let's not quibble over words - nano technology vs nano coating? Really? Yes, I am, in effect, a rep for ceramic coatings - now - as pretty much anyone who could afford to pay for it would be. As for the "stuff Iron Man uses" that is a waaay old quote. In the world of technology we are waaay past that old movie.

@Alex381..... so Feynlab has several levels of ceramic protection each costing more for the product. He offered a very decent ceramic program for $600.00. I chose Feynlab's best hydrophobic product Feynlab V3 and had the rims treated too - AND - to treat the rims I chose to have them removed from the car to have the inside barrels treated (not many do) according to the team. So, with all of that (extras) it was about $1,000.00 I live in a small town near several big cities. I bet getting the same treatment there would be about $300.00 more.
LOL. Read about this stuff on the BMW or Porsche forums, and they're paying $5, 6, 7 or even 8K for the same service.

Anywho.... it looks great, Matt, enjoy the new car!

@BimmerDriver......I guess everyone charges based on their perception of the purchaser's ability. My parents used to live in a pretty exclusive condo in Fort Lauderdale. My dad swore they paid 20% more for every service call from plumbers to HVAC techs.

If you drive an Exotic, every mechanic and detailer assumes you have money and no sense, and will try to bend you over. Its a challenge to find reasonable pricing for anything.

I took delivery of the car yesterday, with 6 miles. Drove it right to the shop, it had 19 miles. I am getting the Blask RX 752, 10 year warranty. I did not have them do wheels off. It was pouring rain when I took delivery, so the car is filthy in the picture. I get it back tomorrow when the work has been completed, I will get some more pictures at that time.

I would recommend reconsidering the wheels. If I could only choose just one place on a car to have ceramic coated, it would be the wheels as they are subjected to the most contamination on the car. Spending a little more now will reward you for years to come. Especially on white wheels!

Ceramic on the wheels +1000...

Did ceramic on my wheels when I got the car, brake dust (Brembos, so lots of it) would just blow off with an air hose or rinse off with a water hose. Now 2 1/2 years later, I just redid them, as the dust wasn't coming off quite as easily. The wheels get washed WAY more than the rest of the car, since it is garaged and not driven in rain, I can do a duster or at most a waterless product for the bug/bird gunk on the paint. I seem to wash the wheels about every other week when driven regularly, and take them off once a year to do a better job on the inside than the long thin wheel brush can do, as well as clean the Grabber Blue "grabbers".

Question for those that have had it done with the "better" brands of coatings... is it warrantied by the shop or the manufacturer of the coating? If the shop closes, how do I get it serviced? From what I understand, yearly touch-ups are recommended and would be covered by the shop I have talked to.

@2024_Night_Mare ..... the Feynlab V3 coating that was done to my 2026 Mustang and Rims was warrantied by Feynlab. The detailer sent my VIN, his company installation number and the date along with some other data. I received a warranty registration confirmation email from Feynlab. I don't think he'll go out of business but oif he did my warranty is with Feynlab not him. Good luck with your research and selection.

Congratulations. The white accents are growing on me (although these white PP wheels? Not so much).

Now check my post in the DH forum and have the brake calipers power coated red :)

Warranties are typically done through the installer. And they installer will submit a claim to the manufacturer if the product was at fault.

The thing is most warranties require yearly maintenance. Sometimes twice a year. Be smart and read the fine print. Any reputable shop will honor it, but some use it strictly as advertising.
