I ordered my 2026 Mustang GT on February 5th, and about 3 weeks later I received my build week, 4/20. However, my build week came and went without my status flipping to built. I called the dealer I ordered it from, Granger Ford, and they said it was abnormal and that production shouldn’t take 12 days. They also said that they are not seeing any errors on their end and that ford is just saying it hasn't been built yet. Does anyone else that has the same build week as me have similar problems? Thanks. (FYI: I posted on mustang6g and was told to post it here).

I had a similar issue where it almost seemed like the vehicle got lost once it went into production and then showed as built, but no other updates and then I contacted Ford through the Ford app chat, and it turned out, mine was at the terminal waiting for shipping.

When you check the status of your order using your VIN what status does it show? The build week can shift from the original projection, but you should have seen that. Did the status go to IN PRODUCTION? That is usually a week or so before the BUILD date. It normally rolls off the assembly line within a couple of days of the BUILD date. Have you been able to pull up your window sticker?

@DT-GT yes, correct. Search for the Ford Vehicle Tracker app. Then type in the dealer's order number and then your VIN and this should immediately produce a Ford timeline indicating where your vehicle is on the tracker time line and Ford will up-date progress as soon as there is activity.

It has been in production since 4/20. I pulled my window sticker and the blend date is 4/23. It is March 2nd and it still hasn’t flipped to built and no update of a new build week or blend date.

You got it right — something is strange. Hopefully it was completed on the BLEND date and it’s just an issue with the tracking system updates. Hopefully Granger will get clarification. They order so many Mustangs and other Fords that I’d think they could get the straight scoop from Ford.

Are you able to see the AS BUILT data. That normally becomes available on the BLEND date when the chassis and body cone together and the car becomes a live beast!

Does this mean that it’s built and just not updated?

Since there is no data under the BCE
Modules listing I would interpret this to indicate that the car is not built and did not come together on the planned BLENF date.

Once built there will be hundreds of lines of data.

My best guess would be that some component for your car did not arrive as planned, so they did not start your build.

Had a similar experience with a Bronco I ordered this year. Was “in production” for several weeks, then magically changed to “shipped” one day.

I don’t think the dealers really know anything or have any inside information. I’m sure your car is fine and will be shipped any day.

What options does your mustang have? I am wondering if maybe the night pony package or active valve exhaust I chose are delaying my production because they don’t have the parts.

I am in the same boat, blend date was 4/23. Car seems to be built based on PCM report, but still says "In Production" I guess we are stuck in purgatory for now waiting and checking every day to see if our status updates.

@SHADOWBOT ..... not purgatory, just a normal wait I believe. In production also refers to the process of gathering all the build options. In the case of my 2026 that was active valve exhaust, space gray seats, B&O stereo up-grade with trunk woofer, spare tire, convertible top, and scheduling for Molten Magenta paint. That can take a couple of weeks, depending on the options, then things usually move at warp speed.
