Can you ballpark a build like this?
Is it like a $10,000 system? …. More even?

always wondered fully installed custom setups, definitely badass work 🍻🫡

Love the build! I'm working on my car now for a show build. The electronic/charging system is our hold up atm. What do you have powering all that? We are trying to figure out how much the stock setup can push or if we are going to need an extra alternator and battery.

The car already has a 190 amp alternator, so that's more than enough. I have the stock AGM battery and a Limitless Lithium stashed away in back. All zero gauge OFC

What amps are you using?

We are looking at running a Sundown SALT-4. Unsure if we are going to mess with any of the doors or other speakers (B&O 12) since we aren't aiming for competitions, more so just a trunk setup for shows. I've been out of the sound game for almost a decade, so not sure what these cars can handle anymore without frying something.

You should be fine with just that one amp. Are you going to be running it at 1 ohm? (That's going to draw quite a bit more).

Should be 2 ohm. Only looking to run 2 custom built 12s. Just need to keep some room for the air lift compressors and tank too.

If you're using a big amp and subwoofers for pounding bass, keep the decibel measurements in mind with regard to what level causes hearing damage.

I had friends in that space about 20 years ago, and myself had a system pumping out over 130 db in the cabin, and now not only do I have hearing loss in the mid-range but I also have tennitis, at only age 39. A constant "whooshing" sound 24/7 with no cure, other than top-of-the-line hearing aids that can only "manage" it by filtering in missing sounds to help my brain ignore the tennitis all day.

Music is great and there's nothing wrong with loving every detail of it. Just be mindful of how to do it safely. In my case, working in a nightclub and going to music festivals probably didn't help my hearing situation either, but trust me when I say that you don't want self-inflicted irreversible tennitis, which is a possibility after a certain amount of hearing damage.
I right there with ya, sorry you have that. I have terrible tinnitus and sometimes it makes me F'In crazy! Mine is a high pitched whine like when you shoot a gun and for a few seconds before you go completely deaf there is a "whine" noise, thats what I hear 24-7. I wish they would find some type of cure and there is something new but not sure about it. Sorry just had to rant for a bit. Cheers 🍻

Thanks for sharing, nice to know I'm not alone with it. Do you think loud sounds may have contributed to yours or do you think it was just bad luck?

Mine is probably from loud sounds when I was younger. Remember quite a few times where I should have moved away from speakers and very loud sources ect and I didn't. But I can't confirm thats the cause.
