Thx ill look into those. They would stay in place?

They should. just make sure the one you get is for the correct thread pitch. I'm thinking it's probably 1.5mm, but you can get 10mm bolts with a 1.25mm thread pitch too....so just make sure you get the right one.

@Yamazuki You are a wealth of knowledge. Thank you!
No worries, man. Happy to help. I had something similar happen a while back and it's kind of like a kick in the nuts. I know it might not always be what you want to hear, but I'm genuinely trying to save you a ton of frustration.

Sorry this happened to you , we all mess up at times.

I agree with those who say to take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Not to sound mean , but if you cranked on a bolt so cross threaded it busted 3/4 way in. You are not likely going to accomplish a re-tap or any type of "helicoil" fix. You may just make it harder for the next guy by funking it all up worse. All these fixes require a MUCH bigger skill set than understanding when a bolt is cross threaded before cranking to oblivion.

If you do try yourself , I hope I'm wrong and good luck !

Update: after like almost a week trying to fix this fk up and watching thousands of videos on bolt drilling, extraction, tapping, etc. and ordering multiple different tools, I was finally able to fix this.

I tried to first drill the bolt using cobalt and titanium bits to use extractors but none worked, tried square fluted ones and multispline ones but none worked. I ended up drilling out the bolt which was not easy and then used a tap to create new threads and used time-sert for installing new m10 x 1.5 inserts using thread locker. finally everything is fixed up now.

thanks @Yamazuki for all the info and help!

Congratulations!! Way to put your mind to it and pull it off. I am happy to eat crow! Feels good when a man gets his redemption, I know the feeling. Skills pay the bills , and lessons learned...
