Has anybody tried to paint the pony on the front grille? If so, how did you do it? Did you take the pony off the grille and then put it back on, or did you protect the grille with painter's tape and paper to keep the paint off it? I haven't looked at my car yet, but I have watched videos on how to remove the pony, and it doesn't look easy on the S650s. Any suggestions are welcome.

There 4-7 mm screws. You need a person with small hands and arms. I used a racketing wrench with tape, space is limited. Only lost one screw.

I replaced black pony with factory bronze pony.

Hey, Ryan! Just ran a couple of different searches for that. Got every stripe, flame, flag, Mustang, and Ford decal on the planet as results, but no vinyl for our grill Mustang emblem. Ggggrrrr!!!! 😆

Do you have a vendor, brand name, or link perhaps? TY!

If it's the same one on the steering wheel then I might do that.

Maybe they were actual colored emblems. I'll have to look.

I’m going to tape around it and mask with plastic and use peelable paint (like plastidip).

You can buy vinyl decals for the emblem. If i wanted to color mine thats what id do.
Where's that? I like the idea of a black decal for the grill pony.

Didn't see them when I was looking at E Bay. Thanks! The price is right compared to other replacement emblems I've seen. Hopping from foot to foot trying to decide whether I like the red or black one the best! 😆

Not sure about the adhesive backing? Guess I better examine my grill behind the OEM Mustang a little better.

Use your color code (on the white label inside the drivers door well and find matching paint. They make it.
