I purchased this car last year from Ford dealer at Leeton NSW.
The other day I was wiping the car off with an absorbent towel and noticed a crack and scuff mark in the lower passenger side corner of the grille.
The car only has about 2000 km and has never been parked anywhere only driven and returned home.
I have a couple of photos from before I purchased the car at the Ford dealer and you can see the scuff mark in those photos so it obviously happened before I picked the car up.
Is there anything I can do in regards to getting the grille replaced under some sort of warrantee?
I have sent all the photos to the dealer and called them. They say maybe its just the light reflecting off the grille in the original photos, but its in every photo so its def the scuff mark. They say they are going to do something to help me, but its been a few weeks now and Ive heard nothing back yet.
They say they didn't see it when they first got the vehicle and checked it over. But as the photos show, unless your really looking for it, its very hard to spot.

ALSO - What other options do I have? And is it very hard to replace the grille without damaging any other parts or paint ?

Honestly, proving this is going to be a bit of a pain since it’s just a cosmetic issue. I’m totally on your side as it was probably was there when you picked it up and you did not notice it over the excitement of picking up your new ride. From Ford and the dealer's perspective, they’re probably just thinking you hit something on the road and are now trying to score a free fix. The fact that they said they’d help and then ghosted you is honestly a joke. Classic "talk is cheap" situation.

If I were you, I’d just show up in person when you have a chance. Bring those photos of the cracked grille from delivery day as your "receipts" and ask for a resolution. It sucks it wasn't caught during the initial walkthrough, but we can't change that now. It's going to be an uphill battle so prepare yourself, but just keep bugging them—the squeaky wheel definitely gets the grease in this situation.

Yep. If you have day one photos where it appears to be there even if you’re not completely certain, lean on that and push for a covered replacement. The grill insert just isn’t that expensive That they should be fighting it super hard.

Good luck!

You have photographic proof. They will probably replace it. Definitely give them the chance. Then go through Customer Service if they don’t do the right thing.

Sure, a trick of the light in exactly the same place as the damage.
Tell them to not pee on your leg and tell you it's raining.

After thinking I had been forgotten about, the dealer in question got in touch with me about 2 weeks ago and had advised they have a new grille and will be able to replace the damaged one for me.
Its been booked to be done next week, so we'll see how it goes. Smoothly I would hope.
