it’s secure and would be difficult to move with wind. Maybe 200 mph might move it in but it’s definitely not just dangling. I haven’t driven with it yet as there’s snow and salt on the ground in Ohio currently.
install wise you just use a socket or wrench to install the main shaft. It screws in counter clockwise. Then you adjust the hook and tighten it clockwise. Other than pulling the plastic cover off the front bumper that was it. The tow hook is better than the one that came with the car.
I just watched your video. I have the Performance Package so I didn’t have to do any of that.

I have a Dark Horse with the handling package. Could you give me an idea of how I go about installing the tow hook. I stopped the video as soon as I saw the front end of the car removed.

Sorry. After digging into this, it appears that the RTR package must include a tow hook due to the low clearance. It appears to me that without the RTR package you will need to install the bracket behind the grill which will require the bumper removal.

Got it, thanks. It looked to me the same, but I was hoping there was something simpler. I appreciate the time you took to respond.

Cool car, BTW.

My track setup is
Wheels APEX ML-10RT 19/10 +40 front 19/11 +52 rear
Tires Nitto NT05 275/35/19 front and 305/35/19 rear
So can you do a full 25-30 minute session with a supercharger without the oil or coolant temp climbing up to 457° Fahrenheit?

How long can you stay out on track?

Unfortunately I’m a street racer. If I need to be at a race pace for 25-30 minutes then that means the chopper is on me.

Oh, I misunderstood "track setup" to mean, well, track. Especially since the wheels were Apex.
On a serious note. Nothing good around me. Mid-Ohio is the closest circuit for track days. I doubt a boosted S650 is going to survive 30 minutes without overheating.

Update:
First round of mods installed. Now just waiting on tuning from DRP Motorsports. So far Ray has been awesome and responsive with my requests.

Today I’ll be installing champagne colored Apex ML-10RT 19” wheels and Nitto NT05 tires.

Waiting on a quote to install OPG’s so I can sleep better at night.

I’m the guy in FB who asked about the belt size today. I was charged 12 hours/$1200 for OPG’s because they had to drop the cradle. Previous Gens were 8hrs.

Hey! Damn! It’s not “cheap insurance” anymore. I think I paid about $350 for the kit with the crank sprocket.
