So the forum - Ugh, horrible, nobody wants to buy this car . . .

Reality:
it's gotten even worse now. supposedly, there's now one or two people interested that are willing to pay a $100,000 markup. i hate having to compete with people like that who probably won't even drive it, just have it sit in their garage for who knows how long

I read one suggestion (somewhere) that the fee to get in DHSC program was $2-3.5K for the dealer. Find a small dealer that was not even planning on getting in to the program. Pay the fee for them in exchange for say a 5 grand ADM (or something, like 8 total). Might be the best you are going to get in first year.

yeah, i have just accepted the fact that a first year is not happening. i would rather just save up longer for a bigger down payment

Well, that is how I feel about large plots of land in Montana, but, so it goes. 😉

Understood. I bought used, and even that was about my max I was willing to pay.

I have kind of given up on this as well. kind of feel like Ford put the feelers out, and even though a lot are upset it's not "a shelby", more are interested in buying this baddass car, including us. but since there's more interested, I feel like the price is going to be higher and I won't pay over MSRP anyway. so I'll probably stick with my "dork" horse, pick up a new crate long block to swap in with an ESS supercharger. and make it mine.

DH SC looks awesome. Wish the rear seat delete was optional for the track pack. Limits my configuration options. The only thing I don’t like is the knob shifter and the GTD has that also. I would have a hard time buying any car with a shifter like that. I rented an Expedition for a road trip with it. I feel like the shifter is a connection point to the car…its important to get right.

It's like any other vehicle; you get used to it. I got my wife a Lincoln a few years back and it has push button transmission selection on the dash. I use it as a backup sometimes if she's not using it. No, it's not 'natural' because my other vehicles are different, but it works for her, she drives it daily.

When you start caning the car to extract performance, that rotary dial shifter is something you will not even think about.

Yikes the guy on the left looks like "SmurfBoy" but I'm pretty sure it's not him - cause if it was, he'd be holding a 5th of Vodka not a coffee cup - and the old fella's will still beat the shorts of your DH

At first glance I thought they were BMW bike owners
Oh SNAP.

Your sounding like the kid in 7th grade who wrote a check with his mouth that his ass now has to cash and replies with "my big brother will kick your ass!" right before being sent to the nurse crying with a fat lip.

What are you still doing here, anyway? Serious question.

You just took an ass reaming on selling yours IIRC and have been doing nothing but shít talking the car and Ford ever since.

Maybe get a hobby?
C5 / C6 Vette is an awesome track car, maybe pick one up used? And don't overspend this time.

Seriously, it's getting tired. Before you respond in anger, think about the ROI. Do you really think you're winning hearts and minds here, making friends, winning folks over to you?
I get it, you bought a car, needed to sell it RFN and lost money. It hurts. I feel bad for you, it's truly unfortunate. But you're wallowing in negative thoughts over it. There is no way around, there's only through. You've gone through denial, but stuck in anger. Hot foot it through bargaining, depression and get to acceptance. Your quality of life will improve dramatically.
