Hi everyone. The last few days I have been checking my ford app and I am not getting an oil life status. Did something change or is it just my app or car. I haven’t checked for months and now I don’t see a number. Thanks.

Showing the same on mine. I haven’t driven it in a few weeks but plan to at least start it up this weekend.. maybe it will register afterwards…

Toggle between the car and the wrench at the menu at the bottom of the app. The Oil Life reading will show.

The app is a little glitchy.

Go to the main car menu, pull down on the screen to refresh. Then go to the wrench menu and your oil life will show. Now if you haven’t started your car in over 2 weeks your car will go into battery saver mode and you will have to start your car to see the stats (at least my car does that every 2 weeks if it’s not started up).

One contributing factor will be when the car was last started. If the vehicle is sleeping, it needs to be put in Accessory Mode for several minutes; this will allow the vehicle time to wake and talk to the Ford servers.

But if you're doing that, you're already in the car, with the dash lit up. Oil status can be checked then.

The Pass App got an update within the last few weeks, which could also be contributing.

I don't use the App often, if at all. Times past, it was nice to update service records with it. With that feature removed, I use the Ford site instead; it has everything the App has and more.

https://www.ford.com/support/

After going to the site referenced, look at the "people" icon in the upper-right. Log in using the same username and password as the app. Tire pressure, oil life, recalls, service history, etc., will be available to you.

Toggle / look at the car icon and then the wrench, it should display after. Or select another vehicle and switch back. Yes seems to be a ‘cache’ type of refresh issue.
