He's comparing to a base DH. At least thats what he said in another thread.
I just built them both on Ford's site
DH Premium (no options)- $72,065
GT Premium (Just the options needed to make it as equal as it can be)- $66,085
(401A,PP pack, active Exhaust, magnaride, B&O)

That's a $6k difference

Crazy my new 24 DH Premium stickered for $67k (paid $63k)

Symantics aside, the price on both those cars is nuts. Not sure why anyone would pay MSRP for either.

You have to factor in a couple of things, much better deals to be had with the GT, also the financing is much better with the GT than the DH.

I was comparing a GT Premium to a Dark Horse Premium.

DH Premium starts at $69,075 and includes most of the options I needed to add to my GT Premium order, so again the MSRP was only $2265 different.

If you can get a discount on your DH, great - here no one in the region even has a DH allocation, so a discount is commensurately harder to get.

To be even more explicit about my previous comparison:

GT Premium MT $51,080
Adriatic Blue Metallic $395
GT Premium Package 401A $2900 (Included on Dark Horse Premium)
GT Performance Package $5660 (Included on Dark Horse Premium)
Nite Pony $1960 (Not needed on Dark Horse Premium)
Anti-Theft Package $700 (Included on Dark Horse Premium)
MagneRide Suspension $1750 (Included on Dark Horse Premium)
Active Exhaust $1595 (Included on Dark Horse Premium)
Seat Belt - Prime Blue $495
Premium Floor Liners $200
B&O Sound System $1160 (Included on Dark Horse Premium)
Destination $1995
===============================
Total: $69,890
This is the 2026 Dark Horse Premium I would order if anyone had an allocation:
Dark Horse Premium MT $69,070
Grabber Blue $395
Seat Belt - Prime Blue $495
Premium Floor Liners $200
Destination $1995
===============================
Total: $72,155
Additional cost to get the Dark Horse Premium: $2265.
All prices MSRP.

Something's off there; when I got to the Ford configuration, the Dark Horse Premium starts at $69,375.

Also, I had included Night Pony on the GT for $1960, many of the same cosmetics are included on the Dark Horse. You also didn't include the $700 Anti-Theft package which is included on the DH.

Ignore the "Aquisition Fee" if you're not leasing:

It was 64k but you keep adding goodies to that GT to get it close to the DH price lol. Just get the car you want man. You dont need to keep trying to convince strangers on the internet (or yourself) whats a better buy. 👍🏻

I don't "keep adding goodies" - that's the exact GT I ordered and did not take delivery of and the exact Dark Horse I would order if I got a DH but can't because no one in my region has an allocation and dealers don't know when or if they will get one.

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything except that for the vehicle I ordered, a DH equipped almost the same would only be around $2265 MSRP higher; with deals it would be higher than that as there is no X Plan for the DH models.

Great. Then get the car and let's get back to the OPs topic!

I agree that the prices are high, and aside from the "pay MSRP" comment* there really aren't any good options in the new car market. Especially if you want a manual transmission.

* - depends where you live, some markets have limited availability and pricing flexibility. And with trade-ins, logistics, etc. some people don't want to buy long distance.
