Edit,

"Special Service" and "Police Interceptor" modules. I have read of GOV catalogs for special purpose vehicles from Ford, Chevy, Dodge, etc. They do offer state and GOV departments access to cars and trucks Joe Six-Pack cannot buy. Like LS engines in a Citation. LOL. You get the idea. Special car/truck engine and drivetrain combinations.

Maybe purchasing a police car at auction? I'd have to study eBay to. And then a connect for needed VIN programming.

--------------------------------

I have not read of anyone being aware of or activating the feature.

It seems like, if there's any benefit at all, you'll see it as you approach the top end of existing capabilities. In my example, that'd be 155 mph / 249 kmh. But I'm already reaching or at the engine's redline, sustained. Going faster still or removing certain restraints brings me that much closer to the limit of so many other things in the drivetrain. With and increased risk of reduced service life or damage.

As to the steering, I can see that. At the rate of speed, calculations change to support the quicker reactions required. But I can only see the benefit engaging once I'm at a very high rate of speed.

So yea, cool. But the benefits...I'd think most people looking to approach the limit of their machines would seek out a trusted tuner with experience? Or only activate if the person is well-versed in reviewing other features and logs, making any additional adjustments as required.

That's just what we need is a Mustang doing more than 155, that can't stop, manuever or not run over my family while chasing a shoplifter at, say 165 mph or something ridiculous like that. Yep, that makes a lot of sense. When are people going to start thinking when it comes to spending our tax dollars and killing citizens which the cop driver has immunity from and doesn't care if he gets killed?

Great news, love extreme speed and limited brakes. Good thing cell usage while driving is illegal to keep us all safe.

Yeah those shoplifters don't have other offenses under they're belt, and the police are mind readers and should know that the shoplifter may have a murder warrant out for them, or may have just committed murder or some other serious crime prior to the shoplifting incident. I know your type, the let everyone go crowd, the police should just get their license plate and get them later crowd, that always works, crooks always register their vehicles. If they didn't chase them everyone would run and no one would ever be punished, see Minneapolis, New York, LA, Chicago and a few other high crime cities.

Yep, another mind reader that discriminates against everybody for everything. Uh huh. 🙄

What if the cop is chasing someone who raped your child or killed your family member? Would that be ok?
Plus, I don’t think cops “don’t care if they get killed”. I think they want to go home to their families each night.
Only a small percentage of criminals commit the majority of the crimes. If we put them away from society instead of releasing them to commit more crimes, the cops wouldn’t have as many to chase.
Tough jobs dealing with the dregs of society with targets on their backs to make us safer. Cut them some slack. Maybe tell them “Thank you for serving”.

You know nothing about me or what i care about ,so go eat a biscuit!
Well, now that was very unfriendly and I have no earthly idea what you're angry about. I have no idea which car is faster, especially one being more porky than the other. Maybe a class would help you out.

Wait FrogDog1. He said to eat a biscuit. That’s a good thing. Right? Maybe you misinterpreted his meaning. One Southerner to another.

I like to disassemble things.
A whisker biscuit or a starfish biscuit - polar opposites so proceed with caution.

Frogdog1, your post was posted right after mine so I thought it was directed at my post thats all. Actually im very new to forums so sometimes I misunderstand the formatting ect. I have ADD and sometimes i react without thinking it through thoroughly. Sorry
Man, I don't know! I've slept since all this began. I have no reason to make someone mad here and I'm a little ADD also. I just had some pecan pie, does that count for a biscuit? PAX

hiii hello!! brand new canadian disaster on here, 24 gt, came in specifically to answer the actual question op asked before this thread somehow evolved into a graduate seminar on police ethics and the moral weight of vehicular pursuit. crazy concept eh?!
so. pefs. yeah... it works. kinda.
yanked my hpt tune off, flashed back to stock to test it, didn't think it'd even show up but there she was just sitting there all pretty like in forscan. took a little prodding, failed in a weird way first time, reconnected, toggled again, everything seemed gucci... [i tihnk the forscan issues were more related to me reflashing my shit to stock since that went a little sketchy originally but thats a different story]... anyway, with thh police enhanced feature speed shit, a sliiight problem popped up, car wouldn't start lol. love that for me.
after approximately one million years of service bulletin and forum dumpster diving i fixed it, and if this happens to you heres the ritual: get in car, doors closed, key out of ignition, insert key, remove key, reinsert key, turn to acc, wait exactly 5 seconds (be genuinely anal about the 5 seconds, the car is very dramatic little whore), turn off, back to acc, hold start button 3 seconds. this SHOULD unfuckulate whatever the fuck fuckulated itself initially and she'll fire right up. no issues since.
result? limiter gone. happily rolled right through it without one singular fuck to give from me nor my car. fair warning though, car sounds genuinely weird at high speed with it on, at least i think thats why it sounded weird since i don't really do nutty-high speed shit but the few times i did it definitely didn't sound this way heh, not fast-weird or a loud-sound-weird, more like, hey, this motor is not sounding like the motor i daily every day and it's-freaking-me-out-a-little-weird, ass dyno felt the same but the noise had me briefly making peace with god. motor was fine though.
glhf, don't die,
now. sliiiiight little tangent.
i sat here and read this entire thread including the part where it became a full theological debate about shoplifters and police chases and ken h. personally imploring us to consider the feelings of fathers of child rape victims and i just want everyone to know i held all of that tenderly in my heart while i proddled my forscan and throttled off into the night. it was a spiritual experience. i feel changed.
anyway, calm your titties guys, it's cars, it's fun, the overlap between "forscan pefs thread" and "active high speed police pedo pursuit" is statistically not a thing, nor will it fucking ever be a thing ll. you're welcome america. from canadia. <3
i love you all. even ken.
oh, also as for the rest of those optinos, iiiii really didn't want to fuck around with anything steering-relted without knowing exactly what it does. i might do it on the weekend and see if it makes a difference while not rolling but, not doing shit at speed. if smeone does it, lmkkkkk
Ok I need to ask where do you get a 24 GT with a key'd ignition?
