Guess Ford is randomizing factory allocations!
Ford gives dealers a finite number of allocations. In a given month a dealer might not have enough allocations vs. the number of orders received, which would delay scheduling for some of them. It's usually more of an issue for high demand vehicles like the Bronco and Maverick when they first came out, but a dealer that didn't sell many Mustangs last year might be in that situation.

Yes I know. I was referring to the situation with @JF that you were commenting on, but upon further review it would not be relevant to him, either, since his build has already been scheduled.

Very similar to ours, except ours is a convertible with the automatic. Ours took 4 1/2 months from order to delivery, but there was a 2-month factory shutdown during that time.

all detailed up and now in my garage!

S650 Mustang ‘26 Order Update- Vin in 3 days Build Date Mid November IMG_5018

wife required install of the car seat prior to purchase. Not my daily driver but do want to take my boy for rides and all I can say is thank you everflo for rotating car seats. I must say, my last mustang was a 2020 GT350 and so far comparing to that car I am very glad I spec’d it the way I did. Very smooth ride and no tram-lining on the road. Only have 20 miles on it so far but each mile is a smile.

It was a Corvette until the wife insisted I needed a rear seat . . . I feel your pain.
Same here, but I'm not regretting getting a Mustang!

[ordered 11/26] Super excited to get an email and text in from Ford only to read "We’re working hard to fine-tune the scheduled build date for your Mustang GT vehicle. Your patience is appreciated, and we’re committed to completing your Ford vehicle as soon as possible." :frown:

That color looks a lot better than the cgi images. It reminds me a lot of Rapid Red. Beautiful!!!
It sure does! Certain lighting does make it look like it's rapid red which I'm glad Ford nailed this color with all types of reddish or pinkish color it shows depending on the lighting aspect 😎

You ordered a performance pack car, right? I think someone here posted that Ford won't build cars that come with summer performance tires during the time when temperatures are coldest.

Edit: this is true only for Dark Horse handling package cars, not GT performance pack cars.

Right. Hmm, interesting. If delivery starts to be pushed into May, I might as well eat my deposit and wait for the 2027 model.

I wouldn't wait. We ordered our 2026 as soon as we were able to, and still didn't get it until the day before Thanksgiving, although 2 months of the delay was due to the plant stoppage. Spring is only a couple months away.

Yeah I wouldn't wait and reorder, either. I'm not sure how long that window of no summer tire cars is. I mean, they built mine on December 4. I expect it will still get built no later than March.

Nonsense.

GT Premium with Performance Package scheduled and in production this week.
