Very interesting, robvas.@Junkyard Dog
do the Whipple and just use SmoothBoost to effectively turn it off while you're doing your track stuff

and honestly you could do the same with a TurboXS electronic wastegate on a centri car. Maybe save a thousand bucks and wire up a line lock or something on the BOV vacuum line?
This guy (on a Camaro with a TVS 2650 blower) demonstrates it at 3.5 lbs 489 whp, 5.5 lbs 556 whp, 14.2 lbs 842 whp, and 18.5 940 whp.
3.5 lbs - 489 whp
5.5 lbs - 556 whp
14.2 lbs - 842 whp
18.5 lbs - 940 whp.
They claim in the comments that the heat is generated from boost (compressing the air) and not from blower rpm.
So I see that there may be more options than I thought.
I don't know the truth, but it stands to reason that the 3.5 lbs and 5.5 lbs are going to generate a lot less heat than 14.2 lbs and 18.5 lbs.
And he is talking about IAT.
There has to be a lot less heat transferred into the oil rings, too. And the coolant. And the oil.
