Hey guys - I know this topic might already been discussed in this form. As I couldn’t find proper answers for my question asking here again. Some members have already added supercharger on their s650 and some are still wondering which way to go with. So it might be helpful to share your thoughts here. I initially was considering twin turbo setup but as I already have LTH installed and needed around 750-800 whp I dropped turbo plan. As far as superchargers for GT I know we have Whipple, Roush, Procharger and ESS (not yet available but cost def looks great on wallet) feel free to add any if I missed it. Whipple kits says it’s complete kit. Didn’t see anything specific on Procharger so was wondering if I need anything else along with the kits. Some members also mentioned about upgrading fuel system. Does the whipple kits include fueling system as well or is that something we’ll have to buy separately? Some whipple/roush/procharger setup videos on YT doesn’t specify those details.

Roush and Whipple are complete kits. Roush kit comes with 2 pulleys each of which support the phase you are installing. The fueling upgrades are added to the supercharger itself. These mustangs have DI and PI fueling system from the factory and the Roush kit adds bigger port injection rails to the base of the supercharger. To my knowledge they are proprietary and cannot be changed so that leaves bigger injectors as the only upgrade path to more fuel and a boost a pump. Custom tuning is unlocking about 75 more WHP than the Roush tune with LTH’s so you would be around 750 WHP. I can’t say much for the Whipple as I don’t have that kit but I know it’s turn key just like the Roush.

I believe the Procharger and ESS kits will require a custom tune.

Whipple, Roush, Procharger all offer turn key kits with tuning. Fueling really comes down to what kind of power you are looking for if you are looking to make 700+ Than a fuel system and atleast id1050s or fic1000 are recommended. I have both Whipple and Procharged S650 They are both awesome and both make fantastic power. Itll depend what you are looking to do with the car. Feel free to reach out and I can help go over goals and get you setup with what you need

You can purchase kits that come with everything to install and go on any of the power adders. Depending on how crazy you want to get and if you want custom tuning, that will dictate other fueling and supporting mods like OPG, Sprocket, larger injectors, fuel pumps, etc.

Being the power range you want, more is recommended to do it safely though. We offer all the major companies so if I can help with anything, please let me know. This includes our LP versions of the Whipple kits.

I like centrifugal chargers, I have one on my dark horse. Installed myself.

Elaborate some on the power - the way the car acts and drives. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet on the supercharger but I like the idea of not pulling the intake manifold and with the centrifugal I keep the shock tower brace. Just asking your input on performance and is the centrifugal noisy?

It has a noticeable whine so people will know what you have. Power is right where I like it 2.5_6 k rpms so driving around town it feels like a normal car not to much pull in the lower rpm level unlike a twin screw or roots version. Power band is substantial imo, you can get a little loose in 4th gear if you are wide open. I raced a gt with an auto and I have 6 speed with short throw, wasnt much of a race, auto beat me off line but the procharger quickly made up for it. Hope that helps

First off I want to take a moment to give a huge shout out to Beefcake Racing (Terry Reeves). I was having a small issue with my new Whipple kit for my 2024 GT. Terry called me Friday night and told me he contacted Whipple and the issue should be resolved. It was. So, think about this level of service before you buy anything.

Thought I would try a PD blower this time on the 2024 GT. Just got it running and its throwing DTC Code P0193. Probably my fault since I may have over torqued the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (Ford part number JR3Z-9F972-A). So I currently have -0- miles on this new set-up.

I have driven a Procharger Stage 2 with a P1X for the past 4.5 years. IT"S FANTASTIC!! It's been trouble-free for 25K boosted miles, runs uber cool on inlet temps, and the power is just unreal. My 2018 dyno'ed at 780 wheel (big thanks to Wengerd Tuning). 24 roll races (in Mexico of course) and no one has been able to out run this Mustang.

You can't go wrong with any choice on boost with a Coyote.

I know it’s Smiles per Gallon but being realistic as it’s my daily .. What’s MPG when driving inside city with Supercharger? I have an auto transmission n currently getting around 200 miles on full tank NA so thinking if I need to get a daily driver.

You wont see much less then that with a procharger imo, maybe 175. It really just depends how you drive the injectors are larger but keeping it below 2500 while I shift I seem to be within 15% of pre supercharger

How long did it take you to do it yourself, and did it require tools that I am unlikely to have from working on cars born in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and less so, 90s?

It wasnt terrible and you can do it on your own, need a jack to support intercooler as you install it for a second set of hands. I did it by myself in ~10 productive hours spread out over a several days. Next one I do would go much faster like -7 hours i think
