I want to go to a staggered front/rear wheel setup. I'm fairly sure this would trip up the ABS system due to the differences in tire diameters.

Is anybody selling custom tone rings either with new axles or stand alone?

Thanks

It shouldn't be an issue. Also if you need to you can change the tire size in Forscan. I dont think that would cause any issues, there are quite a few members that have changed there tires and sizes ect.

Does Forscan let you change front and rear tires diameters seperately? (different diameters front vs rear)

Also... the reason I asked is because I had to do it on a Porsche race car (customized Porsche ABS) due to the tall rear Michelin slicks...

Width doesn't make a difference. I've swapped between staggered and a square setup. Also never had an issue with it with customer Mustangs in over 25 years with ABS and swapping wheels. Porsche only does it because they like locking their garbage down.

The issue has nothing to do with locking anything down.

It has to do with tire diameter, which is why the abs would potentially be tripped up if the diameter differences are out of the tolerable range.

And this is why I asked about whether or not Forscan allows you to adjust tire diameter separately for front and rear tire diameters.

If not, then the ABS reluctor rings ("tone rings in Ford speak") on one axle (meaning front or rear) can be customized so that the rotational speeds are within the factory ABS tolerances.

I don't think it's an issue... GT PP and DH come with staggered... 3/4 inch diameter difference stock front to rear. Put on what you want, no sense making a problem until there is one.

Pretty sure your fine and it won't trip up the ABS. You can post the question in the Forscan threads here if you want.
