.....thank you very much for taking the time to reply. The noise I have heard a number of times is definitely not PCV related. It is a loud erratic tic like a BBQ starter or typewriter. I was wondering if it is still being heard on 2025-2026 Mustang Coyote engines!

......fast forward to late 2025 early 2026 Mustang Coyote engines. Is anyone hearing reports of recent models having the Coyote Tic, BBQ Tic or Typewriter Tic Whatever you want to call it)......Just wondering if it has been solved (by Ford) and is now a thing of the past (having been solved) or have owners have just stopped reporting it?
Why are you trying to turn the thread into another pointless BBQ tick thread?

They have always and will always tick, some louder than others and it is normal.

@Gregs24 .... respectfully disagree. My 2024 GT does not tic at all - not even a hint. This is not normal valvetrain "noise" the BBQ/Typewriter Tic is an erratic, loud annoying noise. I am NOT trying to turn this into another re-hash of the reasons - I want to know if this "tic" is STILL being heard by owners of 2025s and more particularly by owners of 2026's ..... because I am considering purchasing a 2026 GT and want to know if this noise still persists. To repeat my 2024 GT does not make any kind of "tic-king" noises whatsoever and trust me I have heard a number of Coyote engines at Mustang meets that have the tic and I'd sell my car if it had that. I couldn't sit at a stop light and hear that!!!!

Then start your own thread or carry on with one of the others....

My 2019 ticked, my 2024 ticks

MAT1955,
Im not sure what sound your referring to, I don't know what the BBQ typewriter click sounds like. Im referring to the raspy like arc like type sound. The dealer told me this is normal pcv noise that they confirmed with other like units. If you read my posts I try to explain that. There must be a different noise. Do you have a clip of the typewriter click ?

MAT1955,
I'm not sure what sound your referring to - My reply: there were a lot of videos at one time. You could "google" the topic. If someone is unfortunate enough to have one the noise is like the loud tic or click when you use the push lighter to light a BBQ or the old-fashioned typewriters with "keys". The loud and obnoxious sound is a series of (loud) erratic tics very easy to hear at idle and all they way up to 1200-2000 RPM.
