Other car manufacturers (hopefully not all of them) discontent a vehicle a year or 2 after a new model, or near the end of the model's cycle before it is refreshed or starts a new generation.

Do you think it’s because they want to make the current model unattractive to purchase and push you to the new one at a higher price point?

the 5 litre is an amazing machine but the price hikes are unacceptable. In Canada, they went up 5k between2024 and 2025.

in the last 10 years, the mustang has gone up 80% in price in Canada which is getting out of hand…and to be de-contented and more expensive for 26 has bad optics

But, it is a Díck move that will help people buy electric vehicles and keeps Ford from losing as much money on each one they sell. Every time you see a Mach E, they should be thanking you for paying part of their cost.

Word. Agreed 100%. Sure, there are some electric vehicles that impress me but finally every manufacturer except the idiots at Jaguar are backing away from EV’s.
im always honest and I will say I do like the Hyundai Ioniq N. It’s a beast and the interior doesn’t look like your typical hideous Tesla with a steering wheel, screen, and window buttons…..that’s all there is. The Ioniq actually looks and feels like a regular car inside….I've had the pleasure of being in one once.…that simulated paddle shifter is some neat tech….

i think every manufacturer knows it was too much too soon. Even Toyota flat out said this summer that they will keep making manual ICE sports cars and hot hatches as long people keep buying them. No, it‘s not a 5 litre but if the last manual ice available left to buy was a Corolla GR , I would suck it up and regretfully buy one.

I will admit-at least the tail lights look nice on the Mach-E…but that’s it….Ford was choking on 24’s and letting the GT Mach E’s go for mid 60’s here in June/july to get rid of them as they were building up too much inventory of both 24’s and 25’s…so about $45k US the GT’s were going for

Absolutely. I finally got a ride in an EV early Sept. cab ride in Rome. The one in Europe, not the one in Texas. It was a Tesla Model Y(?). That thing was stealthy and quick; perfect for tight traffic in the city. I was really pretty impressed with it on those fronts, and the radar display showing the surrounding vehicles. Downside was the proximity alerts were on TILT 100% of the ride.

Ford bet big on the EV hand and the house won. We're lucky they didn't go all in.
I say Ford bring back the Edsel moniker, or maybe Mercury and sell the EV's under a new brand. Let the brand survive - or fail on its own merits, and not be a parasite on the success of the F series and halo models.

Maybe bring a decent EV sports car out to build some buzz.

A contradiction in terms, or possibly an oxymoron, or both.

PS I also had my first ride in a Model 3 Uber, super quiet, not much space in the back, but the ride made the Mustang feel like a limo.

My tray came in. It looks really nice! Of course the friggin' post office bent it in half and put a nice crease in it even though the seller sandwiches it in cardboard and bubble wrap.

PRO TIP: Before I decided to complain, I hit it with a heat gun and it completely erased the crease. It's like a thin rubber/plastic semi-flexible material and very malleable when heated. I locked it on the rubber tray with some double sided tape and am very happy with it!

I let the seller know about the issue and how I fixed it, just in case he might want to beef up packaging for shipping.

That said, I highly recommend!!! He has lot's of options for graphics and it sure beats that ugly rubber OEM tray.

BTW: It's thin so I would imagine if you get a wireless charging one, you would have no problem with charging.

Pricing most products is a function of cost accounting, what the market will bear, and what the perceived value is for usually a targeted demographic. That demographic isn't young people right out of high school or college either unless they go for ridiculous debt while enjoying the "entitlement syndrome".

People complain about the cost of all new cars as they continue to buy them (priced a RAV4 lately?). Mustangs are a niche car in a niche market where emotion plays an even bigger part of purchases than other cars. Ford sells them to round out their line-up while playing on history. Most dealers don't sell many. Look at what Dodge just did. Brought back their V8 muscle cars while openly admitting they made a mistake which has nothing to do with EV's.

There's only one reason to fork over, what to most people is a lot of money, and that is, because a person just wants a Mustang....like I did and do. I'm on Mustang number four and I hate Ford for a lot of reasons. I just wanted another Mustang and didn't have to rationalize anything about it. Emotion really messes up some people when it comes to Mustangs, Vettes, M2's, boats, etc. We just continue to buy them.... .

Meanwhile..... I just can't rationalize paying that much for a little tray mat....not ganna do it.....
