Ford perfomance tune for 2024+

I have been having a hard time finding any dates or reliable sources that tell me anything about when this will be available (The Ford performance tune for 2025 EcoBoost mustang), just wandering if anyone has any idea or knowledge about this.

There is a thread about it, FP has CARB approval, and there was even a PN associated with the filing, but so far it is vaporware

If you have followed along on some of the posts on 7G module security and checksums, so far nobody has been able to re-write a ECM and have the vehicle start.

Only Whipple and Roush have that ability and I bet it is pretty tightly controlled by Ford, it might not even be on Whipple's or Roush's servers, they may have to download it case by case as they sell it.

The closest we have seen to any movement is the installation tool for the tune is listed on FP's website, but specifically labeled as not having a tune with it.

At this point if a FP tune comes out, and it is reasonably priced ( it won't be) and it gives an appreciable increase in HP and torque ( at least 50 HP and 75 ft/lbs torque) I'll go for it, but I'm not holding my breath.

PS for your EB, the previous FP tune was iirc 35 HP and 75 ft pounds torque, and it was available in the $700 range from FP resellers.

The big torque increase at 2-3,000 rpm is a little misleading as the peak numbers aren't as big of a gain. Solid increase but you'll never really use where it's +70 or 80 unless you're lugging it around

Last word I had with Ford Racing was they confirmed with Ford engineering, no tune is coming for the DH. PBD has an offering see below.

I think they gave up on the Power Pack calibrations because Mustang sales are so low... can't make any money on them.

Sorry, but they only do the GT, not the Ecoboost... I asked them.

I should have mentioned my comments pretain to the DH, for both Ford and PBD. I would think PBD would offer a tune for 24+, since they offered for prior year Ecoboosts.

Sadly Ford removed all the ProCal tuning so anything for tuning would be custom. But all the major tuners are able to tune them now. Palm Beach Dyno, Shoemaker Performance, Lund Racing, etc can all get you taken care of.
