Am I to assume when this tune is released... all prior approved tunes need an update?

I would imagine this is a "Yes".

The FP Whipple Stage 1 has a warranty and FP doesn't want to pay for catastropic failures so I would imagine they will happily spend $100 for a tech to update your car when you bring it in for an oil change or whatever.

I will let you know on the 14th. My car goes in for an oil change and to fix the black screen of death problem (which I have only had once in the year I've owned the car - about 2 weeks ago).

The Ford powertrain warranty is voided the minute the supercharger is installed. If they can prove the supercharger caused the failure then it will be up to Whipple or Roush to warranty the work based on their coverage which is max $8k for engine and max $3k for transmission if my memory is correct.

Write back and let us know how it goes. I may do the same thing.

All these warranty worriers are soo overblown, it’s fine, the powertrain is stout, I haven’t heard of a single s650 give up the ghost aside from H.O.B. Car making over 1100WHP…

your stage 1 cars don’t even make enough power to break anything other than maybe a half shaft.

I’m not worried. I just want to know if there is one because I was told no further tuning was allowed for the Whipple. If you can go around the Ford version of tuning and I wasn’t offered that solution then I want to know if he’s getting the full bag of goods.
