at 2 weeks without being started the car goes into a battery saver mode and shuts off unneeded electrical items like the modem, remote start capability, and a few other things.Low miles for the age. Same happened to me on a '16 gt350 and '24 dh. I finally got a battery tender. No issues since. Sitting for 2 weeks or more it slowly drains the battery without it.
This is spot on; two weeks is the magic number.at 2 weeks without being started the car goes into a battery saver mode and shuts off unneeded electrical items like the modem, remote start capability, and a few other things.
If you use the FordPass App you'll see that it tells you when the car goes into sleep mode, and it has nothing to do with the voltage as my car is on a tender,if it isn't started it goes to sleep.
Is it the battery or a combination of how ford programmed this car, that it can drain the battery this quick? I think it's also the inefficiency of how it deals with current. These computers seem to love working while off.these batteries just seem to be not that good. i've already had to have mine replaced twice, the previous two got to the point where the vehicle was having remote features disabled and saying "12V State of Charge" on the dash upon startup
After visiting the FORD dealer with the same battery issue twice @6400 miles the dealer confirmed it's a common problem due to a parasitic drain issue on low mileage vehicles . The dealer also said I should wait for FORD to due a software update. Well after having the car for almost two years and they haven't addressed the issue I'm moving on. I dumped my 24 EcoBoost on CARMAX and bought a Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness, FORD never again......
