My assumption that this isn't your first rodeo was correct! 😂

I agree 100%, being in such a llitigious society one must be highly mindful of such things and take necessary precautions even with a low/non risk products. Sad really, but....🤷🏼‍♂️
I may need some great advice soon, thanks again!
Think "for tax purposes" if you get to where you're selling a meaningful quantity. Don't bother with it until you get a significant volume. You have to report all income and that is their main hotpoint with people. The IRS looks at "not reporting income" as a mortal sin. Their job is th get money.

An LLC is for much more than "tax purposes". It is for "LIMITED LIABILITY" - if you get sued for the product and if you have properly set up the LLC then only your investment in the LLC is at risk, not the rest of your assets. If you are running it as a sole proprietor then ALL of your assets are at risk.

Limiting your liability is the biggest reason for creating a LLC.

Thanks for your support and interest! I have investigated the possibility of this working on the dual screen version, unfortunately the overall outside dimension of the two screen configuration is less than the premium display and the outside corners have a different radius. However, I plan on exploring how I can make a visor for the dual screen with a "filler" piece in the middle. I'll have to rent a car with that setup so I can take measurements and brainstorm how to make it work! Thanks again for your support!

Let me know on how I can support it, I can try to provide measurements, pictures and details. Even test it. lol

See with your dealership if they have a loaner or if you could get one for test drive.

it's a really great idea of a product that I think it was missing on the interior design, I'm looking to buy.

Thanks for your interest in the visor! The dual screen configuration was a no go in when I first started looking at the G7 model. Then one day I went to a dealership to look at the GT model and that's when I saw the premium one piece screen and I thought ok I suppose that looks better. Still, after having bought the GT the screen still seemed "unfinished" and kept bugging me. After awhile I had an "ah ha!" moment and that eventually lead me to where I am today!

In the very near future I will rent/borrow a G7 with 2 screen setup and gather all the information necessary to begin working on a visor for that setup. A local dealerships said she lost two sales bc of the 2 screen configuration. So this solidified my resolution to make another visor for that.

Right now I'm close to being able to mass produce the current version and as soon as I get there I will be able to fully focus on the 2 screen version. That should not take as long to develop because of the learning curve that I have acquired in the current one! I can only give you a very rough estimate of about a month or two 😕 But rest assured that it will happen! 😃
Thanks for your input and support, it's greatly appreciated!

Of course you could always farm out the difficult stuff to some company like CJ's or LMR or Steeda. Yes, they would take a cut and it would cost more, but would allow you concentrate on production and development. They'd just send you a check every month.

I'd love to be able to provide established aftermarket companies with the visor. That's on my TTD list once I can demonstrate the market interest, which looks promising just from the feedback here!
Thanks for your input and time in replying 👍

Cool product ...... I'm sure there will be some demand for your visor if you go into production. I also hope that you've given thought to what the potential demand might be beyond this forum, and can you afford to go into production given that the total number of Mustangs made with the panoramic display is a "fixed" number. I think less than 36K Mustangs were made in 2024 and the panoramic display was only available on the premium and up models ... some (small ?) percentage of that is your market. I'm guessing that the 2025 numbers will be similar. Just thinking out loud .... Good luck with your project

Definitely a narrow target market which is why I'm going to develop a visor for the dual screen configuration. I've looked at one to determine if the current version would possibly work. Unfortunately there's some differences on overall outside length and the outside corners have a different radius.
That being said, once I get to production I will focus on making a visor for the dual.
The current premium screen is also being used in the 26 model and will be more widely used on lower end models! So the numbers are such that this is definitely an endeavor worth pursuing. 👍
