LS motors in trucks are just not good, oil pressure issues. I can not understand at all why somebody would choose in inherit those issues.

Just think if you could put this engine in a 60s Mustang. Without all the modern controls it would be a handful for the average driver.

People do Coyote swaps all the time on classic Mustangs. Although it's quite expensive and requires a lot of fabrication.

I can imagine how expensive. Maybe one day my engine blows and I could put a DH short block in my GT. Would probably fit without mods.

The DH 5.0 is exactly the same as the GT 5.0 outside of the forged connecting rods.

Really? Dream-on. Nice to imagine but in no universe does this engine end-up in anything but super high-priced, specialty vehicles. Just remember if you are going to inhale buy quality $hit.

Looks like the 5.0 is going to be around longer than believed. Look at all the innovations which have gone into this engine over the years.

Except at 2:09 they say it is a 5.2 not a 5.0 for 2026.

There is no Shelby, period. If Ford does a S650 special edition, and they most likely will do, then it is unlikely it will have a Coyote. That leaves the 5.2. Well we can hope, can’t we?

.......and some forum members whine about the price of a GT now? With that engine add another, what? 30K? ...... as I said, IMO, that engine - if it happens - will be reserved for VERY expensive, limited edition, NOT mass produced, specialty vehicles.
