AI tells me that there is a speed limiter set to 168 mph, but that appears to be based on posts on forums like this one. If you review the posts, you find no source.

Does anybody know what my unmodified 2024 Dark Horse (handling package if that matters) has for a top speed?

Please do not post if you are going to post about how useless this particular information is. I am curious. I want to know. Therefore, this piece of datum has some utility to me. I do not care if you think the information is useless.

Anybody know?

You don't have to ask stupid AI

just look at the videos of people dynoing stock dark horses, you'll get your answer

It depends by the market, so I guess mine won't interest you.. :D
Here in EU (in the specific Spain) the speed limiter is set to: 253Km/H (157mph).

I do not wish to rely upon AI, but I have watched dozens of dyno videos, and, while they all mention a speed limiter affecting certain RPM cutoff in certain gears, nobody specifies a speed at which there is a shutoff.

Do you know the speed? If so, how do you know?

Also, are all Mustangs electronically limited to the exact same speed? I thought this might be tire based and therefore the factory would use different speed cutoffs for different tires.

Also, are all Mustangs capable of hitting the speed limiter?

a very good approximation of the limited top speed would be to look at the tire speed rating, the top speed will never exceed what the tires installed from the factory are rated for.

If I open a thread with the title Factory Top speed of Dark Horse is 200mph.

And you ask AI what the top speed is, they will tell you it's 200mph. That's how AI works.

Yeah, that is not helpful in this case. Trofeo RS are Z rated (149 mph +) and rated at 186 mph according to Tiremart.com (no idea whether that is accurate at all). I cannot find anything directly from Pirelli.

Its the tall gearing that kills it, but if it weren't for the speed limiter, I would not be surprised if it could hit ~175ish. That sixth gear is taaaaaaaaaaall

If you look at the sticker on the B Pillar when you open the door, it is going to give you the size, placement, load and speed ratings along with inflation

IIRC W rated is 168,

I have seen the number 166 tossed out there for the Dark Horse from a Motor Trend article, so that would jive with the W rating.
