I'm struggling with the easiest mod ever.
I've done so many complicated things already but I didn't manage to find the right line in Forscan to disable the side markers.

There are a couple of lines to disable them, but none of them seem to do the job.
Does this mean the side markers are not possible to turn off on the Mustang with Forscan?

In that case I will just unplug the cables, but I don't like doing that, and prefer to do it with Forscan if possible.

I need them disabled to pass European inspection.

If possible with Forscan, that would be my first option.

Second option is risky, but possible too, and that is to put a very thick tape on them to cover any way of light. Some inspectors might refuse to get this passed inspection with just tape covering, but some inspectors seem to be alright with this solution.

The third option is to unplug the cable.

Would appreciate if somebody know the Forscan way to do it.

As someone that just swapped mine out, that plug is super easy to get to. It will take you 30 seconds for the front, maybe 2 minutes for the back. Just need a 7mm for the back screws to pull back the fender liner.

Stupid question, but what's with side markers in EU? I can't imagine this being something controllable in BCM but that's me. Pretty standard, and maybe required on US cars these days.

I know that I can remove them, but I prefer not to. I will only plug them out if there is no Forscan way.

In the EU those side markers are reflectors. No lights inside them.

Moving through the Forscan spreadsheets... I found this. I think you have to program it on both LDCMA and LDCMB. I have no idea if this setting is specific to the headlights, or just the side markers, but maybe worth a shot.

I tried those a few months ago. Didn't work for me.

You’re better off just unplugging them. It’s so easy to do, it’d probably be faster than trying to figure it out in forscan

I know it's easy, but I rather do it in Forscan if there is a way.

if i remember right, there is a way to disable the front ones, but they also disable, of all things, the running lights on the tail lights. i guess they are tied into the same circuit or something. anyways, Ford themselves has a solution to this; use non-illuminated marker lights and plug them in still. here are some part numbers for the export marker lights/reflectors
front-right: PR3Z-15A201-B
front-left: PR3Z-15A201-D
rear-right: PR3Z-15A101-B
rear-left: PR3Z-15A201-F
the front markers are white, the rear ones are red. they still have the plug on the back so you dont have a loose connector flailing around

Yeah, that's for long term solutions.
I can keep the lights on after inspection.
Was just looking for a way to turn them off, just for 1 day to pass the inspection.

But I guess I have to plug them out then..

I have already ordered these, just to make sure, are they reflectors? Meaning that no lights? /:
