Shout out to the forum member on here GrabThatBlue for sharing this video with me cause I was genuinely shocked to see the lengths he went through to get his Mustang. Let me know if any of you would go this far to get your Mustang, and be honest, would you really move to another country just to buy your Mustang ?

I've just got around to watching this. What a great vid.
Knowing that Mr Blue is Dutch does explain a few things. We had a lot of Dutch immigrants here in NZ. They are very hard working people. But, to put it nicely, they are quite direct. They will call a spade an f'n shovel, which is quite unsettling to people of English descent. Because my family was of Italian origin we got on well with them and my parents had a few very good Dutch friends.

Our Mustangs are similar spec to theirs, apart from ours being full stallions and not geldings.
But, almost exactly $NZ200,000 more 😳 .
I don't blame him for having a year in the sun to save a ton of money.

I think it would be awesome to have two separate homes and have two separate garages to have the cars stored when we can't bring them along with you or to make it easier so that you can enjoy certain cars in one portion of the world and then your other cars in the other portion of the world. I guess we can dream.
lol yup that would be epic!

Retired and after 8 years in Vietnam precovid I’m now in Philippines.

My vert and coupe stored in Australia.

I miss them both although I never drive here.

Wrong side of road for me.

Can go three months and not see a Stang at all.

Hello,

Two months ago, I bought my second Mustang in Spain (I hope to receive it in September). I bought my first one in 2016, but it was second-hand.

In Spain, there aren't many options to choose from, but it already comes with the Performance Pack as standard/basic. Looking at prices in other European countries, I think we're quite lucky in Spain. I paid €67,000 for a Mustang GT Performance with these extras: night pony package in Race Red and MagneRide suspension. The other extras that could be chosen were Recaro seats and red brake calipers (mine are Brembo in black), meaning that a GT with all the extras would not reach €70k in Spain. The Dark Horse is between €77k and €80k.

Mustang GT in Spain are ordered from Ford Spain, but they are manufactured in Ford Michigan, and usually take between 4-6 months to arrive. You may have to wait a few months longer for the Dark Horse.
In Europe, it has around 446 hp, almost 40 less than the American Performance model, due to its adaptation to Euro 6.2. This issue is very easy to solve... :)

*The picture 1 is for: GT Performance + Magneride + Night Pony package + Automatic (mine is manual is 2k less)

*The second is the same configuration like the Dutch guy...but is crazy that is half price and both have europe specs. Will be better to buy in spain an import to NL.

Tax does not work like this.

If you buy in Spain and import the NL, you need to pay import duties. So at the end you pay the same price as buying the car in NL.

Okay, I didn't know it worked like that. Maybe it's only with new cars? For example, in Spain, if we bring a used car from Germany, we don't pay more than 5%.

Yes, it is the same as NL, but the difference is you guys have low tax and we have high tax.

You pay 5% we pay 200%

That's why your Mustang cost 60k and in NL it starts from 134k

Thanks. Yeah, It's unfair for the Europeans to have a less hp Mustang just because of regulations.

My Mustang will be imported to Spain as well in maybe 2 years. I'm looking to buy a house in the South of Spain.

Man you chose a beautiful spec, and when you consider the options you got, it's very similar to what we pay in the US.
