The 0% APR is for the first 48 months and with the interest that you are paying on a mustang its considered tax deductible with the new bill introduced until what 2028 or 2029? Gotta factor all of that which is heavily dependent on which tax bracket you are currently in, but I'd say you would take 1/3rd of the amount that you are paying in interest, subtract that from the total interest paid and that's what the real cost would be.

Well, for a married couple, the standard deduction is now $30,000.

32%, which is close to one third, does not kick in for a married couple until $394,600 for 2025, plus $30,000 is $424,600, so only if your income is higher than this after deducting 401(k) contributions and after deducting HSA contributions and child tax credits and so on, if you still have room up above that income level, will you get a 32% deduction for that interest, making it almost one third cheaper.

And you still have to pay the interest, all of it, gone from your bank accounts.

Most Mustang buyers are more at like a 12% marginal rate, or 22%, or maybe some at 24%.

The math looks a little different when you compare 12% off a 3.99% interest rate (or even 5%, as somebody posited above. 12% off of 5% means 0.6% reduction to 4.4% for comparison purposes).

I like those numbers. The way I looked at it is as taking my tax rate for my upper income percentage and reducing that taxable income by the amount I pay in interest total. For me at a 7.7% APR on my car loan (bad I know but even with a 760 credit score they got me) it would give me about $300 back last time I calculated so not a huge deal

I bought mine with employee pricing but found out at the dealer, that their get-you-in-the-dealership price also includes $500 Military, $500 Educator, and $500 First Responder discount if I remember what the 3 are. So for most of you, just add $1,500 back on to the price. I told them that’s a shitty way to advertise a price, and they shrugged it off, like they aren’t the ones who advertise.

Steel tarifs maybe, but also all the electronics. That has to be all made in China.

The entire Lincoln Nautilus is made in China…so go figure.
