That 5-6k difference between a 301A and 400/401A is starting to look less appealing ngl. lol. Wish there was more photos of the 301 in space grey with performance pack.

Noteworthy changes:
homelink and illuminated door sill plates deleted on all models,
dark horse no longer has blue seat belts.
connected single screen is now optional on 200A and 400A, still standard on 201A and 401A.
aluminum pedals are now reserved for higher packages, 201A, 401A, and 700A.
Wimbledon White and Intense Lime Yellow Metallic have been replaced by Adriatic Blue and Orange Fury. available on every model except 700A dark horse (why?!).
black with red stripe, prime blue, and international orange seat belts are now available.
red and black with red stripe seat belts are now options on 600A and 700A dark horse since the blue ones have been discontinued.
1st row carpeted mats are no longer standard on GT and EcoBoost. now optional.
dark horse carbon fiber wheels have been discontinued.
tire repair kit is no longer standard on all models. now optional.

Am I reading the guide that you can purchase the connected single screen as an option on all trims? Say someone gets a 301A they can also get the connected screen?

It appears that’s a no. Only on the premium cars

Can not believe Ford is making the one piece screen optional on 200A, 400A premiums, they are really cutting standard content. Stepping up to Premium should give you that screen and more standard. More profit margin for them. 401A in the future will be the way to go I think. will still have to option the B&O though correct?

We cannot believe a lot of what Ford does. Why should this be any different. If you want the screen cover pay your money and get the 201a/401a. That's all there is to it.

And yes, the B&O is still an option.

so $1160 for the B&O, I think they raised the price of that some too, would have to think that over if it is worth that. My 9 speaker sounds pretty decent. I probably won't be trading for a while anyway, they will change more stuff for the 27 and 28, etc. How many of you think the B&O is worth it? I have not heard it in the Mustang. they should include it with the 401A like they did in S550's

Imagine if they just went ala carte like Porsche for the '27 models and beyond...

(I think 301A with the ActiveX seats and the panoramic dash would be a nice deal, but I highly doubt Ford would be brave enough to do that considering they just made the pano screen optional for 200A/400A.)

It's decent. Not great, not terrible. I got it as part of the 401A on my '19. But I'm an old audiophile with bad hearing. Is it worth it? Well only you can answer that. You need to listen to one with material you're familiar with. Also how do you feel about pulling apart a brand new car to install upgraded parts?

I produce music as a hobby, and have driven different S650s as well as different versions of my personal car both with and without the B&O, so I feel I can answer this question with some level of validity. The upgraded sound system is significantly better at balancing out the bass/mids/treble than the base system is. I typically like to run my bass maxed out, which has led me to find that at volumes higher than 8-10 there is an increasing amount of distortion in the stock system vs with B&O - that is to say, I can get a much wider usable loudness range with B&O than without before the higher frequencies start to oscillate. If you're planning to play music frequently, you'll want to either get the B&O or upgrade your system to something custom later on. Otherwise, you can pass.

In the Mustang, the difference would be much more noticeable if there wasn't a feed of exhaust noise into the speakers.

I really feel like for $1200 it's a tough sell. Ford shouldn't have made it standalone from the 401A for the 2025+MY, but such is the state of the car market right now.

Yeah when I first got my 25 with the 9 speaker, I thought and priced out a subwoofer or new speakers and decided to keep it the way it is, adding stuff to it costs quite a bit and did want my car tore apart and running wires up to the battery, etc.
I have my bass set about halfway and mid and treble turned all the way down and can play it around volume 12 to 13 and no distortion. sounds pretty good.
I agree they should include B&O with 401A, they should actually try to improve on the top sound system with better speakers, sub, etc. actually use B&O speakers, not the ford branded ones.
& yeah at least limit the extra cost for it to like $995 like it used to be.
I am actually hoping GM brings back the Camaro improved someday so that it gives Ford some competition. otherwise Ford thinks they can price the Mustang however they want.
All GM needs to do is improve the interior and larger windows, can use the base Vette engine, detune if they need to, or tune up the Vette, make it look good, price it well, and it should sell ok.

The 2026 info makes me thankful that I picked up my 2025 from the dealer in April. Before the employee pricing deal came down, I was thinking about waiting for the MY26. This might have made me hold onto my 370z with what I am looking at.

If anything, the one piece screen should be an option for 101A/301A, and maybe ActiveX as well (although I think cloth/vinyl is a nice compromise)

I am planning to get a DH. I am not sure which of these options will come to Europe as well. Otherwise I will take a MY 25 DH that is for gabs at a dealer. I was disappointed already that they discontinued the wirless charging function for whatever reasons. Don't need additonal bummers.

From what I read the wireless charging feature was slow and overheated.

Would be interesting if someone who has this feature, can confirm. Many manufacturers offer also cooled wirless charging. They could have modified it, but of course it is Ford and that is a wishful thinking
