Mustang GT - Lowered with Velgens

[VELGEN WHEELS]

I am absolutely no photographer so I do not believe I captured the best angles or had the best lighting. Below is a list of modifications done to the car so far.

- Steeda sport Magneride lowering springs
- Steeda stop the hop starter kit
- Steeda front and rear sway bars
- Velgen VF5 in brushed titanium
Front: 20x10 with Michelin Pilot Sport 275/35/20
Rear: 20x11 with Michelin Pilot Sport 305/35/20
- UPR catch can
- Window tint: 70% windshield, 15% sides and rear
- Form Lighting side markers and rear reflector (left the rear reflector unplugged)
- Borla S-Type exhaust

Only exterior modification I’d still like to do is a front splitter. Overall, I think the aftermarket options are extremely lacking and I haven’t found anything I’m satisfied with.

A proper side view picture:
Taken from far away as to not have a fish eye look and from approx the vertical height of the head when you are sitting inside the car.
By that, the stance can be seen best.
And always steering straight.

Have your dealer reset the MagneRide to the new "base level".
Right now the software might have the dampers actively unnecessarily too stiff.

Steeda claims 0.8125” on all corners. I was too excited to install the springs that I failed to take measurements prior to lowering.

What is the benefit of lowering a Mustang? In my days we made them higher. They used to call people High Riders. I always thought higher was better for sports. Plus old guys like me have a slightly hard time getting in and or out of low cars.

Generally people like the aesthetic of lowered sports cars.

The functional improvement is a lower center of gravity - in theory the handling of the car should improve around corners and in general. May help downforce- maybe?

Real world cons though is that your car is more likely to bottom out, wheels can rub if not installed correctly or of car is too low, gotta be careful around curbs and wheel stops, potholes, can be more difficult to get in and out of etc… to each their own!

That's what I was thinking. I wanted spring but they were all for lowering. I also wanted 20s, but I hear they're not very forgiving. I do like a fairly stiff ride. I don't race. It's for city, country, canyons, and mountain driving.

With the lowering and 20 inch wheels...I'm very curious. I have a 2025 GT as well. Do you bottom out now when you exit parking lots and things like that normally? Is it something that has to be very carefully managed?
