Ultimately, I want the 20-inch forged Darkhorse wheels from Mustang Motorsport. They are custom made to whatever finish you want. I followed their advice on the website and sent them an email enquiry..............................................crickets. Again, the aftermarket sector for Mustang in this country is hopeless, I guess they don't want my money? Makes me so angry because here I am willing to part with a not insignificant wad of cash and they just ignore it. My car would also be giving them a LOT of free marketing exposure, not that they know that.

I'm also looking at Velgan VF5.

The DH wheels from MM are $5,550 ex rubber, lug nuts and new TPMS, ouch!

The RTR Tech 5's aren't bad either, and a more respectable price ($3,200)

What size tyres would you like to run?

I really love my DH wheels. I'd just like to go to US handling pack sizes.

I was keen on those DH wheels too, but my main aim is to bring the rims out flush with the guards, and a lot of brands only had predetermined offsets. With the Koyas, they can be machined to whatever offset you want, so I'm hoping if they fill the guards properly, I won't have to lower it to get the stance right.
During the long wait after I ordered my car I found this picture and fell in love with the way this car sits and wanted mine to look similar - compared to the factory stance...

They are very expensive, but I like the OEM look.

I love the Tech 5's, but I don't like the satin finish.

I went from P Zero PZ4's to Mich PS5's on my last car. What I noticed was better steering feel, initial steering response was sharper, and noise was a bit less.
There was very little in it, and if the Pirelli's were on special at the time I would have stayed with them.

Why are you not looking at Continental Extreem Sport Contact 2s? Those are directly comparable to the MPS4s.

The Sport Contact 7 are made for German cars.
The Extreme Contact is primarily a US tyre and the Sport Contact 7 a European tyre. You can get a few Sport Contact 7 tyre sizes in the US but not many. We cannot get the Extreme Contact in the UK. Not sure which is available in Australia. They are very similar to each other.

The Sport Contact 7 is a direct match with the PS4S and PZ4. I have had all three on a Mustang and for me the Continental Sport Contact 7 was the best here in the UK.

Finally got the new wheels fitted, and I really like how they have turned out...😍

These guys had fitted wheels to 4 Dark Horses, but this was their first S650 GT, and they didn't realise the rear brakes were the same. They thought the rear caliper was smaller like on the S550's - end result is the rim clears the caliper by about 2-3mm... :whew:

GT and Darkhorse use the same calipers, even the rotor size is the same. However, the Darkhorse has better two-piece rotors.
