Australia - 24C35 S650 Recall and Service Action Lookup

Well this is a little concerning. I've just spoken to two different people from different dealers who said they are having issues updating the cars and they're talking to Ford for support.

Well, my vehicle is "currently in the workshop to begin the recalls" according to the dealership. They've advised they will have an update for me tomorrow morning. I have told them that either a) they give me a clear ETA to pick up the car or b) they provide a demo vehicle until my car is ready (as I'm carless right now and it's starting to bite).

I'll let you all know how I go. Fingers crossed. I hope some of you get good news in the next day or two.

Yeah I've been told I can collect my car on Friday, but punching the VIN into the recall check on Ford's site it still shows up as affected so I'm not sure they've successfully updated my car yet. I'll probably check in with them later today or tomorrow and ask.

Now that is some really good news!

If you have your VIN and you check it against recalls, does it no longer show 24C35?

I wonder if we can demand any sort of compensation. The problem is that strictly speaking we havent actually bought these cars yet. And if you decide not to take it, there are many others that will. So I doubt they will give us anything for our trouble.
