If there is one thing I despise, it is the Grabber Blu color on the Brembo Calipers. My (new) Mustang GT Premium is Shadow Black (metallic black), to me the Blu sucks. I'm seriously thinking on painting the covers red, not an "on Fire" red, but a medium red. Has anyone (or had them) painted the Brembo/Grabber caliper covers?

@20ducks ..... @cosmo73 is not only correct but to do the job correctly you will need muchos dinero. There are several DIY coatings you can apply after you degrease, sand and clean with acetone then alcohol. Those coatings will not be affected by heat but brake fluid will dissolve them. The only slightly permanent solution is to take them apart and have them ceramic powder coated. A time consuming and very expensive procedure. I have attached a picture of a former car of mine a 2014 Mustang that I used aftermarket epoxy coating. I did not take them apart but used tape to tape-off all parts and tiny professional artists brushes. I did this because the boss (aka the wife) wanted red calipers on her car. Never again would I do that - and certainly not on a new car. I am not a big fan of the blue either but if I were you I would "learn to love" the blue color, at least it will last.

I felt the same way about the Grabber Blue calipers on our Dark Matter Gray car at first. I also checked into getting them repainted a different color and found out exactly what people are saying here - difficult and expensive. FWIW, the color has grown on me over the last few months and I've even had several people compliment the color saying it's not the same old red that so many other cars have and it's a unique color to Ford. In the long run it might just be best to give it time and see if the color grows on you. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

They are powder coated and will need some good prep to repaint.

Might be better off trying to find someone to swap calipers.

My DH/HP came with the same GB Brake calipers, but The Dark Horse has the Deep Blue interior accents so it makes more sense on here, unlike a randomized by some Ford employee that didn't give a sh** what other people want.. anyway, at least you won't have "red-bo's" like literally EVERY BODY ELSE...
Not to mention.. Blue on Black is the New Red on Black these days!

Good Luck!

P.S. remember you'll have to paint the ENTIRE Caliper Assembly because these aren't just covers!

thats gonna be a lot of work, because there are no covers, these brakes are powder coated from the factory. if you want to powder coat them a different color, you will have to completely disassemble them. it might be worthwhile to keep them because grabber blue brakes look like they're going to be a 2024 model year exclusive, not on 2025. also, Shadow Black is not metallic

Mine are Grabber Blue on a Vapour Blue DH. Not the best combo but I had no choice, take it or leave it kind of thing, and happy that I got the car (only 1,000 coming to Oz)

Call me crazy, but I've thought about changing my caliper color to a lime green or Lamborghini orange. I've had a number of calipers powder coated over the years. It's kind of a pain in the butt. You have to remove them, take them apart, and reassemble them. If it's your only car, the down time would probably be at least a couple of weeks, depending on your powder coater.
