I guess I’m the oddball out cause I wave at a lot of people regardless of what vehicle I’m in 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
That’s kind of a country thing. Where we are we wave at everyone in our local area as we know most of them but even new vehicles we don’t know get a wave it’s just the polite thing to do and I don’t want to be thought of as a snob. So I’m with ya.!

I haven’t had any wave, but one time there was an S550 that was at a stop sign and when I passed them they revved at me so I wasn’t sure if that was the thing mustang owners do or what 😂 I’ll probably do it back at them if I ever see them again lol
Sounds good to me!! Rev back at them, them cars can communicate! Horses do grunt at the challenge in the races as well! Lol!

I agree. I've noticed it more in certain areas of the country. My mom and dad lived in a very rural area of New Mexico for many years. Everyone waved at each other regardless of what you were driving. Personally, I just like to be friendly. You never know what kind of a day someone is having and sometimes a wave and a smile mean more than we'll ever know.

I have been either given a thumbs, wave or flash the lights at other Mustangs, and receive the same, for over 15 years. Have had a lots of small conversations' with other Mustang owners , stopped for a red light, as well. I even get thumbs up from other drivers on the road.

I've never seen it myself, but I'm usually looking straight ahead or at my mirrors while driving. And at stops, if I'm looking around me, it's to see what other kinds of cars are on the road. 🙃

Yes, I do it because it’s a Car we all love, so why not? Is there something wrong with a little hand wave.

I make an effort to acknowledge the other Mustang in some way (high-beam blip, thumb up or wave). But I have learned the generation of car, type of driver or driver age can make a difference.

Early Mustangs, 1960s-70s, yes. We always let the other know we're there. It's just a thing we do. :fistbump:

Later Mustangs, if they are "regular" car, often a DD, possibly abused, the other driver sometimes doesn't understand. Many might see the Mustang as just another vehicle. If I sense they're not looking around or noticing, I move on and continue to go about my business. 😑

Younger drivers, almost never. They're often on a phone call, busy texting or watching videos; many spend more time looking at their screens than other vehicles. Passengers especially. While they might appreciate the car, it's often seen as more of an appliance. IMO, it's an unfortunate consequence; each successive generation has been less and less exposed to the culture of the automobile and motorsports in-general. :frown:

The mustang code for two oncoming mustang drivers is to floor it mid corner, lose control, and crash into each other. I jest, I jest. But somehow had to say it 😆.
I thought that was only for Mustangs leaving car shows. 😉

A phenomenon I have noticed lately is that while in my Mustang every other Mustang driver I see waves at me as they pass. This is my fourth Mustang and I don’t ever remember this happening any time in the past.
Is this new?

It’s normal to wave when on my Honda Goldwing but in the Mustang!!!

I have owned Corvettes for years and most owner wave at each other,
This is my first mustang it a 2024 Convertible GT. I wave at every Mustang and I get some wave backs but most time just a surprised look. Don't under stand !

Why most don’t wave, I don’t know but they are jerk offs in my book.
